- diverse
- decent health care
- pretty liberal
- tolerant/friendly (comparatively)
- clean
- safe
- some very beautiful landscapes
2. Reasons why it sucks:
- WINTER!!
- It gets so damn cold almost half the year
- cold cold cold
Hmmm, for the most part I like Canada :)

-great weed (and everything else for that matter) for cheap if you know the right people
-soul food
-decent live music scene
-diverse
-fast growing city, so lots of nice new
-Cheerwine
sucks:
-lots of pollution, terrible during the summer
-bad traffic
-EDM scene sucks
-getting pretty expensive
-right next to SC
move to:

soul food is southern cooking. stuff like fried chicken, butter beans, collard greens, etc. basically, food you think about black people eating.
Cheerwine is the best carbonated beverage on the planet, but its only available in a few states and, oddly enough, norway. |

| Allow me... as I live in Charlotte right now. Cheerwine is the poor man's Cherry Coke. I actually would have put that in the Cons list. It's ing nasty. Soul Food is like, real southern culture food, lots of times spawning from the black community... southern U.S. style BBQ, cornbread, lots of fried chicken, collard greens, some made from scratch. It's goddamn good, but a definate reason for so many obese hippos around these parts. |

Country : Australia (wasn't born there, just ended up there)
Reasons why it's great (not necessarily in any order)
1: I live here and I rock
2: Opportunity in business
3: Working democratic nation, with some very hard workers
4: Tolerant society that has never had a civil war or even so much as a major social disturbance really
5: Large country, travel any direction you like and you'll find somewhere that suits you
6: Very high standard of living
7: As much as it sometimes chagrins me to say so, the people are an impressive example of multiculturalism without too much of the political-correctness crap elsewhere (ie: England)
8: Will become a major player in world politics in the next 50yrs
9: Low crime rates, fair and liberal laws in most cases
10: Plenty of work
Reasons why it sucks: (not in any order either)
1: Depending on where you are, the weather can be somewhat 'extreme'
2: Snakes
3: Spiders
4: Sharks
5: Some of the worst drivers outside of India/China... possibly because there's a lot of Indian and Chinese here...
6: Very expensive to live in some areas
7: Awful public transport and roads
8: Sometimes its sheer size + small population makes it hard for infrastructure
9: Tax system is a rort
10: The State governments suck
I would like to move to:
I've been through/lived/worked in 39 countries last time I bothered to count. Most I wouldn't have much to do with again, but I do heart NY even if it is a hostile, overpriced bitch of a town... :D |
