Trance is a very big part of my life and always has been, but recently I've been listening to some real quality tunes and I just seem to get nothing out of them. when I listen to trance I forget about everything, all my troubles dissapear and the music is all that matters, It's very emotional. Recently though I just feel nothing. I really hope I don't go off it. I know I definately won't move on to other types of music because not trying to sound arrogant or anything but everything else to me just sounds slow and un-exciting. It's probably just a phase, has anyone else ever felt this way about trance?

I always go through emotions like this but after a week at the most, you release how much trance means and theres no way of forgetting it. I once just though that trance was getting to cheesy but a week later i was getting goosebumps again, Very strange but nice. Good in a sense because you release what the you would do with-out it.

yeah I have felt like this, everyone must have, but one day you hear a tune and its like BAM ur back in there :D

Well i have never stopped liking trance. But i tend to bounce around from hard trance to more uplifting trance. So when i get bored of hard thump thump thump trance i go to the more epic uplifting trance :)

Myabe change yr type, so instead of hard, uplifting, etc :)

I think everybody feels that way in times. Recently I've had it for a while, but now some very good tunes are released. The past few months a lot of crap came out, but when I first heard Frank T.R.A.X. - Nebuchan (Original Mix) my only reaction was "WOW, this is what trance should be like". Ofcourse the topproducers delivered good stuff (like Push, Tiësto, Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten etc.), but most of the songs were just bad.

Luckily for me trance is not the only genre I listen to. I also enjoy hardstyle and techno. But for trance I had to fall back on the classics like the Magik Series or the Tiësto, PvD livesets.

I hope that new high quality trance will be released in the future, because it was really on it's way back. That's my opinion though.

i feel the same way at times. usually after a party though, i just need a little break from trance. so i listen to whatever i like for a day or so, but the love comes back stronger than ever.

Yeah, me too. I also start listening to breaks and some house (not disco house! eww). Sometimes all this melodic trance starts to get old and sound the same. I've been getting into tech-trance alot. I like it because it's not as corny as melodic trance without becoming house.

I've been digging alot of tech-trance nad progrssive breaks lately, just to get awayfrom all that cheesy trance stuff at the moment.
Sometimes I do get bored of trance I spin some stuff from U2 and Smashing Pumpkins.

If I'm really bored then I put on some film scores.
