marta sucks so much and i really wish it didn't right now. with gas almost $4 a gallon, living in alpharetta, and working at atlanta botanical gardens it would be nice to be able to depend on it. but HELL NO! it is untimely and undependable. so, i will suffer the 20 mile drive down and up because the atlanta public transportation ing sucks so much.

My buddies and I used to use MARTA all the time as freshman at Emory a few years back when we couldn't have cars our first year. It got us to Buckhead and Perimeter.

And as much as there is to complain about, at least it goes to the airport. That was super convenient.

Our Metrorail down here in Miami doesn't even do that.

My roommate lives in midtown and works in Dunwoody. He takes Marta every day. He uses the bus and the rail system. There are a lot of times when things arent on schedule, but he still takes it. I think he's just learned to leave a little bit earlier.

I was pondering working at the Apple store at Lenox instead of my bookstore job down the street, but this was the reason why I didn't. I was REALLY worried about having breakdowns hinder my getting there, especially since most of my friends from ATL having tons of horror stories. It's not that I was deathly afraid of it since I knew if I left earlier it wouldn't be a huge deal, but to have to leave 2 hours aside for transportation rather than working bothered me.
