hard house is definitely over represented here in aus. when rhythm fm first started in the end of 98 i was in syd and went for the random scroll through the fm dial. found it and it was playing trance without adds and non stop 24/7. had like a 48 hr cycle so ofter a couple of days you heard same again but was pharkin awesome for a while. then i left syd and well when it finally made it to bris last year it had changed to much housier . had dj's and promo crap. i understand why they did it but that still doesn't make it any good.

now (i think it changed its name as well kiss or smthng) it is and has committed the ulitmate ed up sin of playing rnb and completely ruined any desire i had to tune in and i listen to it even less. the only radio up here with any trance is 4zzz community radio 102.1. gotta support them and their 5 hrs of possible trance playing slots to keep the dream alive.

as someone else said... who cares anyway bcos if ur committed then it shouldn't matter!

my 2 cents! i hate rnb- like i really really hate it...:whip:

i love all night raves which play trance. such amazing people :)

Helen, I look forward to your email, drop us one anytime you like.

Like I said the night will be announced very shortly and it begins on Friday July 5th, which incidentally is the last day of university exams, so you all you uni people will be looking to party hard!
(don't know how my exams are going to fit into organising all this...oh well!)

Hold on tight you TAs - it is almost here!

cheers

Yet, so far as I know, there isn't even a timeslot - on any single frequency - devoted to electronic music, let alone an entire frequency devoted to it.

Hey Renegade you can listen to the JJJ mixup on Saturday nights from 10pm-1am. Also if you look in the Green Guide in Thursday's Age in the radio listings I think there are two stations that have a few hours of good stuff, normally late at night on Thursdays or the weekend. I think it is PBS and the other one I can't remember. Saturday night on Nova they have a more dancey program, and at 4am a couple of weeks ago they had a trance remix and were playing good stuff. Same for Friday nights on FoxFM. I think this was in a thread a while ago here so try a search or just check the Green Guide :)

There's a community radio station called 2BLU FM (89.1) that has a weekly show called Electronic Expressions. I have never actually listened to it, but I assume they play something along the lines of psy trance, as they were looking for psy trance DJs a few weeks ago. I don't think you would be able to listen to it unless you live in the Blue Mountains in the Sydney region. But if anyone is in that area, I think it would be worth checking out.

I'm not to sure about this, like someone said on the previous page (kudos to whoever said it) Trance would go commercial.

This is why i like commerical, it keeps the underground alive. Although, if anyone would like to try this idea, check this out.

Also if you're in Sydney, try tuning into 2SER 107.3 .. it's run by UTS and Macquarie Uni..

Mostly underground type stuff, but every now and then they'll have some sweeet sweeet trance... Wednesday nights I believe.... :D

If you live in the Blue Mountains Area or Penrith Area you can tune in weekly to 2Blue FM 89.1 , on Thursday nights from 10pm-12pm and they play Goa and Psy Trance. I just listened last night for the first time and it was awsome! It's alos cool cause it features local DJs live in the studio. Tune in!

96 FM plays live from the Church on Saturdays, never listened to it but people tell me I'd like it.

NO PROBLEM
although im still getting my sea-legs in mixing I'll get there by the end of the year:toocool: .
For everyone in Perth, as soon as I'm in Uni I'm going for a slot on RTR to fill up the airwaves with some of the most PREMIUM tracks ever made. I'm still collecting the vinyl to make this dream reality but I'm on my way.

I can never seem to get Rhythm FM. I got down to the end of my FM band and all I get is some Islamic station....
