| Everyone I know who has it thinks it blows harder than Steve in a gay club bathroom, and I agree. But whatever you like... |

What he means is it doesn't suck at all. It kicks ass. |

| Ya with FIOS they have a HD Home Media DVR that you can already sync up anything from computers to be displayed on the tvs in your home that have set top boxes (me works for Verizon FIOS dept). San Antonio I doubt will ever see FIOS just because of the uverse that they are trying to roll out here. |

| is the picture really that much better than satellite. i mean to be "truly" fiber optic, wouldn't tv's have to have that as in input. once the fiber hits the house it's all converted to coaxial just like cable/satellite isn't it? just something i've been curious about. |

No. I have fiber running all the way up to the TV and box |

| oh ok, so the boxes themselves have fiber inputs & then u can just output to the tv via hdmi? |

| Fios is all the way to the side of the house, then they use a optical network terminal box to convert the signal to be used on the wiring inside the house, from the outlet to the box then to the tv. Uses the same wiring that is inside the house before the install. |

Uverse only has fiber to the side of the house as well. Lots of people seem to think we come out and rewire their house full of fiber......
Only person I know who has fttd(fiber to the desk) is Mr. Dell in austin. |

If the broadcast is in HD then it will look the same no matter who you subscribe to. I'm just spoiled with Dish and all of my soccer channels.
But seriously everyone I know has it says they don't like it. Not that I would go with Time Warner either. |

Uverse:
Only one TV can display in HD at a time? (if this is true, this blows)
DSL < Cable
Zild,
Who do you have as Satellite provider? Does satellite provide internet too?

A guy came and ran it through the walls and under the carpet here. from a crazy phone jack all the way to dvdr. Doesn't look like a coax to me. but then again, what do i know.
