Where: Corner of Emerson Ave. & Bloor (Lansdowne subway stn.)
When: Saturday, June 21
What time: 1pm start of tunes
Why: b/c the BIG on Bloor festival is closing Bloor St. from Christie to Lansdowne & Emerson is a 1-way going south into Bloor.
At that corner we have access to the second floor balconey from which much tunage shall eminate and be relayed down to the street below. All music will be provided currently by Eclectic Groove's dj's, and this will cost nada.
Not a whole lotta plannin going on here folks other than come out & enjoy the road closure by jammin in the streets. As to whether bbq's etc will be set up remains to be decided, and will primarily depend on the desired level of participation of those showing up. All the shops will be open & it's up to you as to whether you want to hit the Beer Store or LCBO (both are 5 min walks from the corner), but remember, no open alcohol in public:p .
And back to the tchno vikings for a minute... why the hell not... I think it'd be damn funny to fill a street corner w/ people dancin a around a bunch of techno vikings.

It could become that. As I said, what this turns into depends on the gumption of the attendees. If we have a pile of people wanting to turn this into a TOTA bbq, so be it.
As it stands now, it'll be gl.tch & likely other members of Eclectic Groove dj's playin into the street, w/ ppl dancin below. Hopefully with Techno Vikings in abundance lol.

True. I'll subtract the impromtu from the title tomorrow.
So, as far as it goes, the street closure is already a foregone conclusion. It goes until 10pm afterwhich a pile o' ppl will be headed to Max Graham/DJ Dan/Make It Funky.
So I guess it goes from here:
-who's got hibachi's/bbq's'etc that wants to bring 'em.
-who wants to deal w/ coolers, drink marshalling etc.
-who wants to attend to the ancillary details or crowd watchin & whatever... as if we need that lol
and most importantly:
- who wants to come out & enjoy themselves?
