i might as well have this app displayed on the insides of my eyelids, so if you have any questions about the FUNCTIONS of this program, i can likely answer them.

please don't ask questions like "how do i sound like pvd" or any other silliness.

Whats funny is I given lessons on FL to newbies off CL for $20/hr, and I just got done taken advice from you in my other thread.
I have the interface memorized as well, but if you know more than me you should absolutely be getting paid for it lol.

My question would not be advice, but I'm curious what kind of music you produce and how much you use the FL Slayer.
I didn't start playing with this puppy till a month ago (when I took on a student who wanted to learn rock) and I was amazed at some of its capabilities. You ever use the slayer in a trance track?

Thats my next goal I think. I want a mean guitar riff with a pumping kick/bass line.

i use it, but not to make guitar lines, i sorta use it like a weird synth to make squeeky squeekys.

if i do guitar sounding stuff, i generally use fm8

slayer 2 is really nice, even though it's an refx product...

just got done taking advice? heh why's that?

lmao, "squeeky squeekys".

Its funny because I can sit down with someone new to FL and a few months later they're making tracks where I'M asking them, how'd you do that?

I've always been a really slow learner but once I understand something theres no grey areas, I completely understand it and I'm able to make other people understand really quick.
But seriously, go on CL and post a few local ads, if you have time to give advice here (specially to me lol) you might want to see if you can get paid for it.
And of course its not for the money, but its cool to sit down with someone new and show them the ropes.
I know I have Slayer 2, been siting on my c-drive for like a year and haven't even installed it yet lol.

I believe Slayer 1 was an REFX product also ;) only they were paid so FL could put their logo on it...

Hey Dave, good to see you on this forum too.
davidbuhau
good to see a looptalk head here as well

and to the "when will fl have this or that" question...

USE SOMETHING ELSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE HOW YOUR PROBABLY PIRATED VERSION OF FL STUDIO DOES THIS OR THAT.

Well.. I tried to ask this question to the creators of the thing. I couldn't understand I word they said. All I got from it was that they don't plan to. :)

One thing comes to mind. I read the other thread about how to optimize your PC for better performance at mixing, one suggestion was to decrease the polyphony for each instrument, now how do i monitor how much polyphony an instrument is using, and how come all instruments have none selected by default in FL? in the misc tab of your given instrument it says "--" so i'm confused, the advice given in that other thread does that even apply to FL and if so how to I practice it?
