if u put on the headset..u only hear the voices...not in-game sounds ..through the headset
if u connect the headset, and take it off...u wont hear the voices through the tv..but ull still hear the in game sounds...coming out the tv

Voice chat comes through the headset.
Ingame sounds always come through the TV speakers.
If you just had tried it, you wouldn't be complaining.
