freedom ftw

oh and yea winter clothes ftw too:p

oh most definately. one thing i really hated 10 years ago was borrowing money from the parents, because i had a lousy low pay part time job while i was in school. one pet peave i have about myself is borrowing money. i hate borrowing money.

pretty odd i had a habit of spending things on random things a lot more back then, compared to now. i guess i now understand the value of money more than 10 years ago? :)

also another big plus for me is being able to take random vacations without having to worry about finances. i can actually book airfare tickets at ease, rather than plan a long road trip.

I hear Yakutsk is nice this time of year.

rolf. it's just been wicked hot the past couple of weeks without much rain. as much as it is hot here, i enjoy this heat a lot more than heat + humidity. :)

i still borrow money from my mom lol

no but i definitely see your point. ever since i moved into my own place i'm like a damn jew when it comes to my money and finances. i'm kinda set in my ways and i like saving. i still splurge every now and then on clothes or whatever, and i still get my manicures and pedicure, but i've become surprisingly practical. i never in a million years thought i'd ever describe myself as practical..but i am. my dad's personality definitely rubbed off on me.

and lol renzo

I feel old since I don't really go out partying anymore

and I live 2 blocks away from one of the big clubs here in NYC.

Physical aging I'm totally fine with, don't misunderstand. It's just so foreign to me to be doing all these "adult" things without really having to think about it. I thought it would be more of a problem I guess. I dunno...when I think of adults I think of people who stress over bills and work and .

I suppose I expected it to be more of a challenge.

Also, I've been drinking. DRUNK THREAD!!!

edit: and I don't FEEL old...I just do "old" person things...and I don't really relate to it all that well.

managing bills, finances, watching percentages, and going car shopping without having to worry about making down payments / monthly payments. :D

wow slylee. i didn't know you were younger than me. i always figured you were older. :( (i just turned 28 btw).

I just implemented an amazing plan to pay off all my bills! Actually i don't know if its smart or not. But either way it 100% guaranteed to work. I forced myself to live on a strict budget. Now i have weak will power when it comes to spending money. Whenever i want something, i just buy it. BUT I thought to myself, if i don't have money i can't spend it!

Here is my genius plan that i came up with. I took at chunk of my take home pay and set aside for taxes. Whenever i get a raise i will adjust my taxes so that i will always have the adjusted take home pay of what i have right now. Come tax time i'll be brining in around $10-12,000 in refunds!!! Pay off ALL my bills at one time with tons of money left over. Well except my student loan. But at that point i will be able to start to pay around $1500 a month to quickly pay off my loan.

Again may not seem like the best plan, but there is a zero percent chance of epic fail.

Big cold city can only be one of two places Chicago or New York. You just lost the game.

ps
New furniture shopping is sweet. You should check out the couch we're gonna get. I plan on molesting it when Bunny's not looking.
