| I remember my 5th grade teacher's biggest pet peeve is when "a lot" was written as "alot". If anyone from my class made that mistake, that person had to write "a lot" out 200 times. |

but using a word incorrectly doesn't mean it gets that new meaning either. just coz a LOT of people are stupid or uneducated doesn't mean we devolve our language to accommodate.

Thanks for all the serious answers, though I never meant to question the grammatically correctness of the use of it ;)
My question has been answered though; it's not accepted at all and everyone who writes it should of been raped by grammarpolice. |
