I grew up with classic Euro and Freestyle, and then decided to be cool and get in to Euro-trance (e.g. Milk Inc.), until I heard my first Tiesto set in 2002. Once I heard my first episode of A State Of Trance, that's all she wrote.

First there was a song from some racing car arcade game from 1996 that I liked.

Then I was at a cd shop and the man made me listen to "Ayla - Nirwana" or something. I ended up buying Savage Garden though lol

I told my parents about Ayla and they told me it was devil music. I was intrigued..

robert miles - children i really enjoyed but didn't really get into the music / scene until i started hanging out with euro trash my freshman year in college (1999 - 2000). napster was huge so downloaded sets like it was my job...got hooked onto oakenfold's essential mixes but didn't really understand the difference between house, trance, dnb, etc so listened to it all. as my tastes refined i turned into a "tranceaddict" but overall been a trance junkie since 99

I always grew up listening to white zombie and gwar, heard daft punk when da funk was on mtv never paid much attention to it. I was in a foster home and one of the dudes hooked me up with a prodigy cd and one of the dudes had a copy of robert miles children on one of those mtv cds.

latter part of 1999 started listening to fat boy slim and the chemical brothers and daft punk. I was working with some dudes that went to school with the dudes who were throwing a party called Transit.(movie wont play all the way for some reason) I went and heard koochy by armand van heldon and was hooked.

didnt start getting into your traditional trance stuff untill sometime in 2001 when i listened to a live set of oakie from nature in austin.

I got into Trance/House, from going to local clubs with my college girlfriend. She was more of a House listener, though. I got tired of listening to the same crap I heard at the clubs, on the radio, so I took a ride to a local DJ store, and randomly starting picking out vinyl tracks from the rack. The first two 12" single I ever purchased were Debbie Harry- Command And Obey (Plasmic Honey Remix) and Snake River Conspiracy - Vulcan (Remixes).

Since then, I was a regular consumer at www.dancegrooves.com located in Netherlands, listening to the preview clips on the website, and made my selections from there. I now own about 75 - 12" House/Trance singles from the late '90s and early '00s.
