Hangover Anxiety

Question to you hardcore drinkers:

So lately (last couple of months) my hangovers were sometimes accompanied with mental "irregularities" on top of the usual physical effects. I've never really been too affected by hangovers...long sleep, good , cold shower and OJ did the trick and I felt newborn. Recently, though, I've sometimes experienced little waves of nerviness on the following day. It started one Sunday with a small-scale panic/claustrophobia attack for a few mins in the subway, which was a bit scary since totally out of nowhere. Ever since I can be almost sure that throughout the hangover day I'll feel "uncomofrtable" and detached, which as far as I know is typical for comedowns from other drugs but not alcohol. I'm by no means a regular drinker, dont get the wrong impression. Just the occasional weekend adventure...Also, I dont suffer from any mental difficulties other than that. Not that I know of at least ;)...still a bit worrying, or is it? My theory is that I'm just getting old. :sadgreen:

Nothing to worry about.

Just the alcohol burning what's left of your brain cells and turning you into a vegetable.

Yep, you're getting old. Welcome to the the 25+ age bracket. Sucker.

24.5 actually. But yeah, it definitely looks like an aging thing. Damn.

You're getting old, and the tolerance you have developed is causing you to drink more. The extra drinks are starting to take a toll on your body that you didn't notice before. The body is reacting in odd ways because as said before, it's still trying to process/get rid of the alcohol in your body.

+1 to that. In many ways, binge drinking at weekends only can be just as dangerous as having a beer once or twice a day through the week. Keep off it for as long as you can stand and allow your body and liver/affected organs to recuperate somewhat.

This is your body telling you that it is time to switch from alcohol to drugs

u gotta rest during week ends....sometimes

if u work hard during the week , dont sleep enough and keep being hangovers every week end it might affect your nerves maybe

rest for a bit and dont drink this week end.....

sleep & eat well and the next time u should be fine;)

There's you problem right there. You've already decided you're going to have a bad time.

Slow down. Take a break from it all for a month or two and you'll reap the rewards.

Has nothing to do with getting older or your body. Its in your head! Maybe things are changing in your life? Maybe your not happy with something. I cant do this stuff anymore because of reasons such as anxiety and depersonalization. Taking a break is probably the best thing to do!
