just recently found my old cd wallet of oldskool sets i used to love back in 03 and that cd stood out at me like dawgs bawlz.. one of the best sets i've ever heard right there! |

| I think cosmic gate's tunes have been rather uninspired for the most part. Their remix of carte blanche could've been so much better. |

I think the thing i love so much about it is the simplicity mang ;)
I might be the minority in thinking this but too much trance has become boring because it tries to be more epic than every other track and things end up sounding boring and all too similar.
The thing I think they have done really well is make their stuff stand out and sound big because the track doesn't try too hard. |

its not about being "epic" so much, its just about delivering nice melodies imo. i like "should've known" quite a lot which isnt epic at all. but most of their other releases have been pretty boring, and if youre gonna remake something like carte blanche i think you really need to make something special out of it.
otherwise youd just be sean tyas making your name with other people's songs. |
