| if so many americans belive in god and they know what god represents, why do they allow their government to do what they do in the world...why do americans own so many guns and kill so many ppl and commit crimes and every other inmoral thing in existence. it seems as if americans belive in god b/c the are expected to and feel its the proper way to be yet dont actually follow what god supposedly stood for. |

It's not that Americans go out in the world killing and pillaging third would countries. You do know that Mr. Bush's approval rating is only 29% right? Americans are just as fed up as you are with the way things are going. Don't lump the unpopular actions of our executive leadership with all Americans. Lump it on the hardline neoconservative factions within the hi-jacked Republican Party. |

i understand what u are saying...but americans are dumb just like us canadians...we bitch and complain about what the government does yet we do nothing...why dont we riot and overthrow the government? the US cant stop 300,000 million plus ppl wanting change.
besides what the government does and stands for, that doesnt excuse the fact that americans own more guns then any other country(i maybe wrong about that) or that the US has a higher rate of murder, rape etc...ppl are still making choices to do bad things yet so many belive in god? |

All generalizations. There is rape, murder, and crime in every country around the world. Guns are in every country in the world, even countries which outlaw them. God is irrelevant in all those scenarios. You can't possible connect a violent crime with a belief in god. |

All generalizations |
for someone that thinks that a poll is somehow a concensus, how do you then not think Buler's approval rating is, itself, somehow a generalization? |

Oh, so the scientific polls are just lying. Bush's rating is really 99% but those evil liberals are trying to bring him down...
I am generalizing. Generalizing is NOT logical fallacy. So if you were trying to use logic to strike my argument down, maybe you meant hasty generalization whereby a generalization is based upon insufficient evidence. Well, my friend, I consider a hodgepodge of scienctic polls to be enough evidence to state that your party's leadership is greatly unpopular here, and around the world. Unless you can respond with something other than "it's a generalization", it stands as a true statement. It is a generalization so what's you point? It is not a LOGICAL FALLACY. |

Doubtful that number is correct.
Even more doubtful it will sustain itself through the next generation and the internet/technology boom. |
