it was pretty fun to listen to some of this type of music again, :p
i enjoyed the track at 14min. the most, really liked that bassline. beatmatching was off in some parts but that doesn't always matter. solid all in all man |

Really enjoyed a lot of the stuff on here. Haven't really listened to something like this in a while so it was pretty refreshing.
Nice work man. |

I really enjoyed the mix. I think your sound is actually a bit different than Desyn etc. I guess I'd classify this mix as epic house. That's probably a mis-classification, but I loved the beautiful breakdowns and builds. I thought the the combination of tracks was greater than each track by itself, the flow was excellent, sans a couple of tracks. But really the sound overall was very inspiring. I felt proud to be a part of EDM after this mix. More than just oon-tss, but music with a higher purpose.

Jaytech, Jay Lumen, Graham & Blades - I'm in! Looking forward to this, I've always been into your recommendations (Desyn + others). Listening now...
edit: ace mix! This was a lot of fun to listen to, great progression and programming, this really got me moving. Mixing was pretty good overall, but damn, your track sequence was spot on, especially those last 3 tracks! Perfect use of Sunset Boulevard there, when I heard it kick in I about fell out of my chair.
Very much excited to hear other stuff you put out. Keep it up! |

Just, what do you mean by 'prelast track wasn't on it's place'?
Cheers! |
Oscar, i meant that your prelast track would be better to put in the middle rather than at the end.;) |

Thanks for the comments, its been really nice to read good things about my track selection and the general flow and direction of the set.
Which tracks did you feel weren't on the right place?

Again, thanks for listening camshaft and for the review.
You have no idea how good it feels to do something and put it out for people to listen to it and getting all these good responses. It gives you confidence to keep going and to get better. |

Finally got to listen. Well done, enjoyed the set. I think you've done a good job showing who your influences are but mixing it up a bit to make it a style of your own.
Didn't like the placement of Argie Bargie though...ruined the flow for me. That track is more of a peak tune imo, was way too early in the mix. But then again it could be that I'm being biased because of the placement on my mix :p
Other than that, few beatmatching slip ups but everything was just fine. Keep em coming :) |

| Good track selection, a pleasure to enjoy this mix driving back from an open air festival last night. Nothing compares to Prog&House in terms of afterhours chillout :) |

| Thanks to all for the support! I really didn't expect so much responses and feedback since it's the first mix I've ever made and posted here. |

This has been my background music when I'm at the gym... I absolutely love this sound... not sure how to classify it, although BP would consider it "progressive house", it's different from the tribal and organic textures in the prog of old. The track selection is fantastic, which I already told you before I even downloaded the mix, the actual mixing is very good, apart from a few points that are slightly off... but even then it's nothing that pulls me out of the groove. And if I want to get really picky, I think there are some slight issues with the flow... Personally I would consider Argie Bargie and Shadows Movement peaktime tracks (and they are certainly the peaks of your mix).
Can't wait for your next mix! |
