The track selection is fantastic, which I already told you before I even downloaded the mix, the actual mixing is very good, apart from a few points that are slightly off... but even then it's nothing that pulls me out of the groove. And if I want to get really picky, I think there are some slight issues with the flow... Personally I would consider Argie Bargie and Shadows Movement peaktime tracks (and they are certainly the peaks of your mix).

Can't wait for your next mix!

Thanks, it's so cool to know people are enjoying this :)

Can you please elaborate on the flow? I'd like to know more so I can improve ;)

Thanks!

So it took me a long time to get back to you on this, Oscar, but I wanted to wait until I could actually take the time and give you some complete feedback rather than just a "nice set m8!"

I know that you've compared yourself to Desyn and Luke because both of them have influenced you quite a bit, but I'd agree with whomever it was that said this was a bit more epic (generally) than I'd expect from either of those two. Don't get me wrong, the influence of both of them is absolutely clear - you just definitely put your own spin on it, which is definitely a good thing.

For me, this one was all about the first 6 tunes. They flowed together very, very well and reminded me quite a bit of Desyn's Budapest set from 2005 or 2006 - don't remember which. Flow was spot on, and though the mixes fall off a touch here and there, it really doesn't matter because the flow is on point.

I did think that "Argie Bargie" came at a weird time, however, and really took me out of the mix for the last bit. It's your first one, so really this is a very minor criticism, and the end of the set worked fine, but having that one jarring, oddball tune in there just kind of removed me from the overall vibe of the set.

All in all it's a great first effort and I hope the feedback you've gotten from folks here has made you consider purchasing a setup of your own even more heavily. Look forward to seeing where you go from here.

I didn't think Argie Bargie was out of place, quite the opposite really. Awesome tune that pretty much shares the vibe of the rest of your set.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to my set and for the lengthy, elaborate review. Highly appreciated. :)

It's actually kind of cool how some people have pointed that although the Desyn/Luke/Rowan influence is evident I surely "have a sound of my own". I don't know, but I take it as a big compliment. :D

You're right, all the positive feedback has actually made me want to own a serious setup even more, but sadly that will have to be put on hold for the time being. I'm kinda spending all my savings on a new car, but I think that by the end of the year I might have enough money saved up. :)

Rob has said pretty much everything I wanted to say, except I've heard this set like 6 times now, and sometimes I feel Argie Bargie is fine where it is, and other times, it doesn't. I don't know why.

Also, the set seems to lag a bit in the end, like you don't know how to quite end the set, and just keep adding same ish tunes till the end. That got my attention off a bit as I tuned out to the same sound I've been hearing all set.
Maybe a bit more diversity in your set? (Like, shift gears slightly or something)

There are a lot of quality tunes in this set that I've never heard before, so it's good that I can expand my binder a bit from this set :)

Get your own setup dude. I see a lot of talent from this set and you can build on this. (Mixing will in due time with practice)

I'm loving the response I'm reading from this woscar! Glad to see this mix is still getting attention. I still throw this one on, when I jam out.

Awesome mix again, buddy.

As others have said, get your own setup! I look forward to your next one. :)

Yeah, I'm loving the responses and the feedback too :) I sure as hell didn't expect so much responses.

I sure am getting a formal setup, but I'll have to wait a bit since I'm getting a new car first ;)
