Spain is taking this one fo sho. |
Russia have so much skill in attack and will be very confident after crushing the Dutch. Spain haven't overly impressed me and they are notorious for bottling it in international competitions.
That being said, come on Spain!
Congrats to the Turks. They provided the best moments of the tournament. What a show of skill, passion, pride, determination and grit. It's a shame that they had so many injuries/suspensions or else they probably would've done in the Germans today. The keeper, Volkan, really let his country down by being sent off earlier in the tournament. He could have made the difference today, as Rustu was at fault for the second German goal. Nihat, Tuncay, and Arda were massively impressive. Three class footballers. |

| spain dominated the italians, but still could not score on their defense. Im thinking russia will take that, and go on to win it all! |

That was a different Spain :p This Spain is undefeated in, what, 13 matches? They have a new found confidence, and I'm sure the fact that they haven't won the Euro in 64 years is drive enough to take the silver home :D
Also, Torres + Villa = deadly strike team. |

19 matches before the Italy match, so 20 as of now. And Russia has never won it, so I am sure that is drive enough to be the first also. :D
Also, Arshavin + Pavlyuchenko = deadly strike team too! :p |

That wasn't just Russia though. That would include Kazakhstan, Belarus, Latvia, and a host of like 30 other countries. So that doesn't count. :p |

Arshavin's a huge talent, but I was surprised to find out that he's 27 years old. This season we saw what he can do at club level with Zenit, but why haven't we heard of him till now? Well he'll surely be off to one of the big clubs next season. He professed his love of Barcelona just the other day. |

Because playing on a russian club team is like playing in a dungeon...
He has suitors from other leagues around the world now. |

You mean they won it in 1964. Maybe 44 years isn't enough to drive them on ;)
Being a Liverpool supporter I've obviously been supporting them and I really hope that they can do it tomorrow.
As Spain is really a bunch of countries within a country, I wonder how much the Spaniards are actually behind the national team? Maybe the only ones who can be arsed are the Madrileņos? I certainly can't imagine an hardcore Barca supporter giving a damn. A lot like how most Liverpool supporters can't be arsed about England. Carra is a legend for telling McClaren to piss off, and there is a bit of resentment toward Stevie G and Michael Owen for their perceived prioritizing of the national team ahead of Liverpool. |
