i guess it would depend on the cartoon you are watching..

the simpons is OK, it's hillarious!

but, like powerpuff girls.. go back to grade 7.

BTW, my girlfriend loves sabrina the teenage witch, and it drives me crazy. I can't watch anything with a laugh track without feeling cheated.

yes my name is ERICA, my boyfriend's name is ERIC RICARDO, both our nicknames are RICK, except that his is RICKY
hopefully this cleared that imense question mark in your head sweetie.

EDIT: oh and for the question marks, i put that on there 'cause rick would be just too plain adn i couldnt' think of anything else

hey Julie, well you probably don't go to school or don't have a job, and that is ok, but i am talking about us girls who are older and have jobs and school and have bills to pay you know?

I do have times to watch cartoons and I do watch south park and the simpsons sometimes, but for the most part i rather watch things that are more productive, when you get to my age you will be a total different girl(i dont mean you will be ecxactly like me), because when i was your age i used to see things the way you do for the most part and i had more time to do what you do now too.
JohnSmith
well, thanks for explaining erica.

sounds like a good thing you got going there! :)

actualy i doo go to school.. and technactly i have not watched tv in the longest time.. (that is cartoons) cuz i've been buzy around the house.. sometimes.. and other times..i chat a lot.. (bad habit i know) i konw i dont pay bills and stuff.. and i know that being an adult has lots of responsablities.. i'm not gona deny that fact.. but may be in the next 5 years i'll grow up and realize that cartoons are only for kids..

i'm only 18.. everyone is different from each other.. andwe have are unique ways of looking at life.. some will be the same and some not..

but hey... we are open to giving opinions..

ten points for this post mate :D

if my girl watches powerpuff girls, well first of I wouldnt be with a girl who watches powerpuff girl, i dont care if you are 15-16-17-18-19 or 20yrs old, just grow up already, idon't want to date some girl who talks like those little freak girls from that stupid cartoon or someone who thinks they have super powers (like rick said)I want to talk to someone who's learned a lot already

as for sabrina teenage witch, i was force to watch that show on a family reunion with all the little cousins watching it, i couldnt stand it,what a boring show lol
JohnSmith
*cradles his ten points and hides them away*

thanks!

but seriously, there is something to be said for seriousness, but being goofy is something we all need to do.

my girlfriend is very mature, works a harder job than most, pays bills, looks after her sick parents, does my laundry(i do the dishes), and is very responsible.

so, i don't mind that she has a thing for winnie the pooh stuff, it's kinda cute.

i agree about the cartoon thing...they are directed towards a certain age group. so if u still watch them and find them funny then basically your mentality level is that of a 3-10 year old. lol
torontotrance
No wonder sly loves cartoons because her mental age is 7......no wonder she acts like a kid.

ooh.. scratch him sly!

but no, serioulsly, like i said, it depends on the cartoon.

the simpsons is actually quite an intellectual cartoon, some of the jokes are very deep and political.

granted some of them are fart noises too, and both make me laugh..

i'm 22 by the way.
dmcilwaine
its true about those kids cartoons but some cartoons are for older audiences, such as the simpsons and southpark.
i think the simpsons is hilarious, its one of the few things i watch on tv and i wouldn't say its that childish to watch it

absolutely, i hate things with laugh tracks added, if somethings funny i dont need to be told when to laugh
programs like friends, sabrina and other ty sitcoms bore me greatly
