Tiesto & The Green Martian

A question i would love to ask tiesto is why he only plays 3 minutes of the green martian when the full vinyl is 9 mins. I am puzzled at why he would want to miss the best part which makes the crowd go wild. Why mix out of it so quick ? Some-one must have an idea or some theory behind this.

Thanks in advance  :eyes:

Because you have a 2002 version and a old version.

and what set are you talking about?
Haak
You're taling about Magik 7, right? I agree he mixed out too soon there, missed the great buildup

Im talking about every single time he has played it, And there is no such thing as the 2002 version mate, youre getting mixed up with the end of earth 2002 remake.

He done it on magik 7 too, aswell as every set hes played it in.

Will if you were familiar with tiesto and his sets you would have automatically clicked on but nevermind..

The Green MArtian - Industry
liquidxxd
on that cd, they had to cut some songs up, like push - strange world 2000 remake, is only like 2 minutes long, and you miss those sick breaks, cuz it might not have fit on a cd, i am talking about magik 7, so they cut some part out on th emiddle of the song, like if you listen to lars holte - the first summer, haha i was mad cuz on fire and ice forever young, they cut the best part of the song, oh well

Yeah, could suggestion But this is alot differant when tiesto is doning this in live sets. Im totally not dissin him, I would just love to know why he does it, Theres gotta be a explanation.... Maybee the time he got it through the post he whacked it on to listen to, He was maybee sat there about 8am with his cup of tea and dressing gown on, and he just blerted all over the vinyl, But it dried into solid so now he has to mix out of it before it hits his spunk which has set all hard. Thats all i can think of basically...... :gsmile:
Jah
maybe i can help? :) this is my theory
i listen to magik 7 all the time and i just recently bought decks and one of the tunes i can all the time is industry i love it but i think the deal with that is at that breakdown its really easy to mix something else in and make it sound real good ie. moonshine? i think it is that comes in on magik 7 you have to admit that is a nice transition i know what you mean by industry being a bit short but i think the way tiesto is playing it is not so much for that euphoric breakdown but more a stomping gradual progression maybe into moonshine? or the prophet? its just industry for me anyway is such a BANGING track it would be perfect not only for that use to have lik ea banging track that slowly builds and builds because thats all how i can describe industry amazing tune though just awsome energy from it! and also i think from a technical perspective that breakdown provides a really good place to have a tranistion but probably a mixture of both...?

Why doesnt he just play the best part of the song and cut out the rest? :happy2:

Some nice suggestions but why are people bringing magik 7 up ?

Im talking about live sets man. I suggest you all read the topic carefully before you all comment again, he he. :conf: :conf: :conf:

he always used to do thast in livesets too... i think mainly because he loved mixing planisphere - moonshine into that bit :D

it does sound f00kin wicked... plus i think he possibly thinks the same way as me, that tune gets boring after too much because it just does the same thing over and over :)
