you are overanalyzing it. i bought him the outfit because we have a date tomorrow and he needs to dress nice and doesn't have anything nice.
i was just a little worried that he might think i'm trying to be serious, when i'm not. and really...i'm not.
i definitely see how you have drawn your conclusion though but ur off base. but we don't really have to get into it...i dont feel like proving myself to you. |

i don't know you personally jamie other than convos that i've had with other tas that talk to you; but all i'm saying is that's how i would've interpreted it, then again i think i overanalyze too much myself. but wasn't this thread originally about whether or not *you* were overanalyzing the situation too much?
if you're straight up not interested (which obviously isn't the case) or at least trying to give off the message that you're "not too serious" then do what eric said and hand him the bill. :p |

You know, I'd be really offended if a girl I had just started dating did that.
I mean, why would I pay for something I didn't even think I needed?
On the other hand, if she just gave me the outfit, for whatever reason, I'd be like, "cool, she wanted to do something nice for me". |

i like him and he's really hot. but yea...it's just that i dont want him to think i'm TOO serious even though i pulled a "serious" move by buying him the outfit.

i wasn't really planning on buying him an outfit, but i was shopping around for something cheap for myself and it occurred to me that he might not have anything to wear, so i ventured over to the mens section. i'm just thoughtful like that no matter who it is (if i like u) :)
i will for sure make him buy my drinks and he is the one driving. i'll find a way to call it even:disbelief

totally, i would've probably told her i didn't want it, or at least i didn't want to pay for it. she's making the decision for me then.. nobody really likes that

Seriously, you bought him an outfit. So what? My girlfriend bought me a rather expensive perfume when we started dating, because she realised I had none. What did I think of it? Well, she likes me and thought of a way of pleasing me. Full stop ;) |
