In 1997 Piet meets Benno de Goeij at a party. They discuss their passion for music all night long. Benno has no experience at all in producing, but he has a perfect ear for good melodies, due to his classical musical background by playing the piano and the keyboard. They decide to cooperate and the first releases as Pedro & Benno soon follow. Their records are put on the decks by numerous DJ's and they are asked for remixes by Jean, Ferry Corsten and Cygnus X. As for 2001, RANK 1 has a tight schedule. First of all there is the soon to be expected album. One of the tracks, 'Such Is Life' the Sensation 2001 anthem, was released in july and climbed the charts with the speed of light. This track already differs from the style RANK 1 got famous with. And this will be continued on the forthcoming album on which Piet and Benno will demonstrate their variety, making it not just an album for the dancefloor but one to listen to at home as well.
As a DJ for more than two decades, as well as a recording artist and producer since 1989, Dave Ralph first built a name for himself in the UK. In his early days as a teenager in Liverpool, he kicked his career off by putting a mobile DJ unit together with a friend in order to provide a much-needed outlet for "good music." He soon built a name for himself in his hometown where he was lucky enough to make a living from his hobby. "We got better and better and began earning money," Dave says now. "It's the best training ground in the world for being any kind of DJ. It teaches you to look at a crowd and entertain them." His specialty became mixing rock and pop with soul, funk, and disco. Then Dave stumbled across house music in 1986, upon hearing Fingers Inc's "The Washing Machine." This pivotal moment was followed by a trip to see Sasha in 1989, where he fell firmly under the spell of dance music.

Honestly, the sound quality of his music live is like no other DJ/Producer i have heard. He is doing an outdoor rave the next night down here, i may have to check it out

Yea, He is booked for the Fresh Squeezed Rave. Not sure on location but its outdoors. Im prob going to go, just cause i want to see him play outdoors. And i have heard some of the fresh paries recently, have been somewhat decent.
