We will try to do one more Platform@Cherry Beach before the summer is out.
However.
PLATFORM Will be hosting Piknic Electornic in Montreal on Sept14th
with Paul Kalkbrenner+Tony Rohr+Martin Buttrich.
But last night was definately magical. Even when the generator
surged at the end of the night we had some fun with it and kept
the party going an extra half and hour longer than legally allowed.
ONCE AGAIN MASSIVE RESPECT TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO CAME OUT.
It is you guys who make the difference. |

nice.. it's too bad it is the same weekend I am planning on going to NYC. Paul Kalkbrenner and Tony Rohr are always a pleasure to get to see. |

The best CB I've been to all around. Probably the busiest I've seen it ever, yet still felt a bit 'laid back' at the same time. Gets that busy on long weekends, but the vibe isn't as enjoyable then.
Great set by JK - had me dancing the entire time. The start of Greg's set killed the energy level for me for a while and took a bit longer to get into, but once he got chugging along I rather enjoyed it.
Good weather, good vibe, great music. One of those nights that makes me think ", I'm so happy to live in a city where something like this is possible".
I love the mix of people - young, old, hippies, ravers, people with their babies and dogs. The lack of advertising/marketing - simply out to have a good time without being sold something - very nice.
Cherry Beach Sundays are a great asset to Toronto, and hope they can keep on going / growing and getting better. |

| i generally get a bit wierded out by cherry beach and the hippy vibe it's got going on, and the few times i've gone, musically it hasn't been my taste. but last night was total certified good times! loved gregor tresher's set, in fact i pretty much liked the music from the time we got there. the weather was great...i think i even pinky swore to go back because i had so much fun. i like that it's on the beach now, rather than in the wooded area like before. i got hit by a flying walnut or something at one point LOL. i will definitely return if platform gets involved in hosting another night there again. :D |

i walked to my car at around 11:10, and was at my car for about 10-15 mins before taking off and i think they were just stopping it when i left |

Wow. I've been going to Cherry Beach for years and that was by far the best time I've ever had there. Amazing new location, banging techno and friendly crowd. Thank you very much to both Promise and Platform for putting on an amazing party. I hope to see more Promise/Platform parties in the future!
