Global Frequencies welcomes SOS to NYC with a spectacular
boat cruise around Manhattan Island. With their Balance 013
tour in full swing, SOS is rocking venues around the world
and coming to the NYC to show us what summer clubbing is
all about!

Also, for your viewing pleasure, we'll be taking you on a tour
of New York City's Public Art Project "WATERFALLS" by the
revered artist Olafur Eliasson! On this cruise, you will get
an up-close look at the cascading splendor of the breathtaking
waterfall scenes as well as the Manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn
Bridge, Governor's Island, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty.

Well, well, my good man Rocky (Global Freq = Rocky, Dave, Faron, fyi...) put this up earlier. cclem, dunno who you are, but thanks for the other thread too! Def add me on myspace, and add your email to our mailing list here. Let's make this the official thread, shall we? :)

So in case you didn't read my reply to the other post here's what I had to say about tickets and the afters...

quote:
Okay, just so you know, tickets are going really fast! I would not suggest that anyone wait for this. It's going to be like 5 people's b-day on this boat. One girl's is bringing 45 people for her b-day. INSANE. People flying in from as far as Canada, UK and California. So, ticket sales have been very healthy, to say the least! We haven't even sent out the press release and already half the tickets are sold.

Better get them now because I know for a FACT that there will be people at the boat asking to get on and I won't be able to do anything for them. Do not be lazy people! Takes just 5 min to secure your spot. http://www.wantickets.com/SOS

As for the afterparty... it's at a BRAND SPANKING NEW club just 8 blocks west of Pier 40, called LPR (www.lprnyc.com). The DJ booth is in the center, with the 360 circular dance floor. 800 person capacity and according to Sasha's sound engineer, the sound system is "WORLD-CLASS". As for the lineup, I'm not allowed to announce who the special guest DJ's are but rest assured, if you're coming to the SOS boat and want to hear more of the same and continue the madness, you're going to want to go to the afterparty. It's just $10 for everyone coming from the boat ($20 if you're not)!! You definitely don't want to be one of the few who hear later, "! "So and so" DJ ended up spinning the afters and it was siiiiick". Again, I can guarantee just one thing here... and that it's going to be insane.

Thanks all... email [email protected] if you have any questions at all!

What's the capacity on that boat in Toronto, anyway?

If I had a choice, I'd stick with NYC just because of the wicked afterparty! Or do both (like SOS)!! LOL.

I have no idea how many people it hold but its a BIG cruise-type boat with a few levels.

but being from Toronto, I loooove the boat cruises up there. They travel around the little islands and of course have the same sick view of the skyline (as I would assume NYC would have).

I go back up to toronto a few times every summer, and I am going for a couple TOTA's birthdays on the boat.....soooo its not like I am choosing one over the other. :) I am going for many reasons! (btw since its a long weekend in canada, I was lucky enought to get some sick afterparties as well, without the worries that people had to work the next day! monday off woot woot! :)

but I WOULD highly suggest for anyone whom has not hit up a t-dot boat cruise to GO!! easily the best parties in toronto summers! <3 <3 :) :)

So like all our boats, there's going to be a theme on this one. There's a call for people to bring anything inflatable.

Use your imagination. Let's see where this takes us!!
