I would love to have TRANCE in the main room, house in the upstairs room, Breaks in the front room and Hard Trance is the basement.. I remember when 1015 would be full from basement to the top floor (3 years back?)..
|
Bad idea. Half the main room would just go in the basement for the hard trance like the old days. |

main room: trance
upstairs: house
front: prog or techno
downstairs: breaks or techno
imo :p |

I have to say as someone who goes up to the bay area fairly frequently. Looking ahead most of the people that I really want to see are at Ruby Skye. I don't know how many other people come in from out of town regularily but usually its a purely talent type thing then and other than Rank 1 and Astrix most of waht i'm looking at is at other clubs in the city.
I think what would help is booking better talent and yes diversity is key so book different EDM genres then but I find that (and while no offense is meant at all) Many nights are just featuring the locals which are great but you get to see them week in and week out. |

What about Saturday (or the club as a whole) getting an efficient email blast from 1015. Or collecting new emails to reach new clientele. Or getting a new website up immediately (only takes 1 day to mock up a new one). How about flyer distribution since the entire world is not tuned into 1015.com or TA or signed up to the 1015 email blast.
How about acts like...
Booka Shade
Moby
Armand Van Helden
Junkie XL
Mauro Piccatto
Marco V
Tomcraft
DJ Icee
Chus & Ceballos
Desyn Masiello
Eric Prydz
Hybrid
Sander Kleinenberg
Underworld
BT
Carl Cox
Dirty South
MSTRKRFT
Eddie Halliwell
MYLO
Judge Jules
Funkagenda
Robbie Rivera
Antione Clamaran
Oh thats right i dont what i am talking about cause i dont "think outside the box." |
WE AGREE, YOU ARE VERY RIGHT. TOO BAD THEY WON'T LET YOU DO THAT! |

Anyone feeling santogold.. she is amazing Edm influenced..
what about some of the Ed banger music...
hey we have collie buddz this friday.. that is some good dancehall
we just had dizzee rascal on wednesday and had around 1k people..
diversity is key....
Let me know... |
THAT IS GARBAGE!!! In my opinion it is not very professional for 1015 to be insulting the DJs who work hard for it. For the past 3+ years fridays have sucked ass there and I feel that effects Saturday nights. Also, we have more than 4 e-mail accounts and I cannot remember the last time we got an e-mail blast from 1015.
Saturday nights would be better if 1015 put money into marketing, more headliners, decorations and oh I don't know if owner and manager actually gave a about 1015 and the DJs, Security, etc. who work hard for the club!!!!!!!! |

Maybe you should give Ten15 something efficient to blast...
Instead of poorly designed flyers that appeal to a small minority..
I'm sure if you were able to book artist like booka shade, mstrkrft,
junkie xl, marco v . etc... we would book it.. |
Should the OWNER say yes, sure if he wants to see continual growth in
customer base. Again its not one paticular individual say on who we
get, the final descision depends & RESTS with the OWNER. Dont start
in on Flyers, I havent seen a real flyer for the club for more than a
few months now, with the exception of a few events in June and July,
thanks to the douche that was running the club before. Maybe this can
get moving now???
| quote: | PS our email list is always expanding. in the last year alone
it has doubled... SMS list is quite extensive as well(though we dont
abuse it).. |
Dont bother with SMS. Throw this idea out the window NOW please...Most
people that get these, myself included, Dont like being spammed via
their phone.
| quote: | unfortunately we get the most people unsubscribing from the
list when they keep getting these Saturday email blasts, it also has a
very poor open rate.. |
Its funny when blasts are sent, because they are not send a week or so
in advance, usually the public is informed of events the day of or the
day before an event. I have 4 email accounts signed up to the 1015
blast and have yet to see some consistency on when blasts are being
sent out.
Recently, I see Friday nights are being pushed more than Saturdays,
Ive received more emails about Fridays then Saturdays. Why is there
not an equal amount of emails for both nights? Should the club not
have a common goal of success for both Fridays & Saturdays? Now I
understand that recently Fridays have headliners, and Saturdays are
more local driven nights, yet there is still no need to push one night over the other.
Also, this should be the responsiblity of the Web Administrator for 1015...
By all means, Keep those emails about Donnas and Too Short coming!
Adam, dont you realize that by posting on the 1015 moniker on
Tranceaddict, which you are not part of this community whatsoever, you
are making 1015 look more unprofessional than ever, with your rants
and negativity.
Suggestion... create your own screename so its clear on whos giving
input, rather than hide behind the 1015 name. If anything, posting as
1015 should be done by someone who is an advocate for the club and a
team player, not someone who is against a specific genre of music,
clientele or specific night.
| quote: | A suggestion get a good designer.. maybe you need help finding
one, maybe someone on this board can give Taj some suggestions on
where he can get good flyers and promo material designed.... whoever
does ruby skye's does a good job in keeping the flyers uncluttered.
|
1015 & Taj have used the Firm & other local talented designers for
flyers/images. 1015 should feel lucky and privilaged that local talented designers want to work with the club. For you to bag or negatively comment on anyones flyers is completely ludicrous & highly unprofessional. As if your designs are "the bomb!" Ya right. LOL!!
Like you, these people put their heart in soul and serious effort into the design. Where is the simple common courtesy and respect for that. Everyone has something to say about someones designs. Lets just be happy that the club is open for us to design something around, unlike past MANY past Fridays.
Take the website and give ALL information regarding the nightclub to someone who actually cares for the site/club as a whole rather then an individual. Authority should be given to someone who isnt biased on what events are being sent out, whether it be a Friday or Saturday event.
| quote: | | I'm sure you can go a bit more out of the box than that.. |
lol :wtf: Gimme a f'in break. There should be some clause under each
post thats from 1015 that states "Under no circumstances should the
ideas or opinions you state be taken seriously" This coming from an
indivdual who cant even handle there night/artists professionals. |

I was thinking the same thing. Doesn't make 1015 look really good when you start talking a lot of trash... especially about other clubs/promoters.
very unprofessional.:( |

wow! Great Job Blurr, but now If I was not scarred before, I am truly scarred and worried about the faith of 1015, This thread has pretty much indicated to me that Taj has no more control of the bookings at 1015 :whip: :whip: :whip: (Which is obvious), we have a user posting as "1015" pretty much bashing the hard work that Taj and others have done in the past for 1015, however this person keeps raving about "how great" the club is and "how the future" is looking bright for EDM, yet no headliners, or should I say no TRANCE headliners?!
Just one week ago, I had faith that maybe Taj would get things under control with the support of the owner and all but now that feeling is gone...
Sucks...
:( :( :(
First Ferry Corsten, Blank & Jones, Above & Beyond and
Now even PvD is leaving 1015? For the first time in the past few years PvD will play in the bay area but but not at 1015?! Sad..... |
