Thank you!! Wow, I was beginning to worry no one is gonna mention Dune...the first book was unbelievable. I wrote an essay about it in grade 12 english class. I'm not a fan of the other books though...but the first Dune....wow, I couldnt put it down, was and still IS the BEST Sci-fi/fantasy novel I've read. LotR doesn't hold up a candle to it. |

Nice to see that ppl like to read books :D Here in estonia reading is not really popular among the young ppl.. There R tons of ppl who are just literally DUMB :D Its a pain to see such sort of ppl :)
But then again we have some nice ppl too ;)
anyway: thanks for all those tips :) I will surely check out the dragonlance series if they are that good ;) I wonder if they have been released in estonia... its kinda hard for me to read a book in english, since my english is not that good.. yet :) although original language is the best... read the Hobbit in english a few years after I'd finished it in estonian, and boy it was better :D |

I'm a massive George Orwell fan - particularly "Down and Out in Paris and London". His style is a little stodgy, but his interpretation and philosophy is amazing.
And I just finished reading the "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman. It's meant to be a kids book, but it was ing brilliant - makes Harry Potter look like Roger Red Hat.
And if I'm in a happily pretentious mood, anything by Paulo Coelho. |

Looks like I'm the only one that hasn't read an entire book I always skip a few chapters if there boring.
I just can't think of any book i liked.
The last book I've read, was a school book :( I just can't sit down and take the time to read a book maybe that why I never got any good grades. |

Aye! That's a winner. I reread it from time to time, such a well-written piece of travel fiction.
Also:
Irvine Welsh - "Trainspotting" --- cheeky, was a bit of a hard read due to the Scots Dialect.
Frank McCourt - "'Tis" ---- also very funny, better than "Angela's Ashes". |
