Hmm tricky question:
Lord of the Rings
Animal Farm is good, as is 1984 (George Orwell books)
Dale Brown writes EXCELLENT military fiction...
Tom Clancy's Red Storm Rising <--- best book about a world war I've ever read!!
Catch-22 is probably the funniest book I've ever read.
To Kill a Mockingbird is OK, very thought provoking..
I know they're not really books, but Arthur Miller's The Crucible, and Death of a Salesman are also excellent reads... |

yeauh.. i love dostoyevski.. amazing writer. Orwell also, 1984, animal farm..... huxley: brave new world, doors of perception... , the lis t goes on and on! i like reading. oh, grapes of wrath, farenheit 451, Aeneid, Odyssey, Iliad.

heh, i dont consider that my favorite book but no doubt its is one of the most disturbing book ive ever read :eyespop: hehehe very memoerable in that sense :) and no doubt its first class quality reading b/c its john irving!
the best book ive ever read would have to be, w/o any hesitation:
*A Prayer For Owen Meany by John Irving
its a long book bu quite worth it! very inspirational and thought provoking! of course since its john irving. the language is beautiful and profound yet very explicit :happy2:

You mentioned you liked Fantasy. I started reading the Fionavar Tapesty, by Guy Gavriel Kay (a canadian author). One of my trainees from work suggested it, but I could get more than 40 pages in, cause I found the story to be weak. Have you read it? If so, what do you think of it? |

I hated Guy! I read the whole thing and it was never good.
Im obsessive about finishing books even though I hate them. I hate having unfinished stuff for some reason *shrugs* Totally agree wit hyou, half assed books. |
