Got mugged 6th and folsom by 1015

Getting MUGGED at GUNPOINT isn't cool and right down SCARY..!
So my friend and I were going to flier up the 1015 area when suddenly 3 thugs (black, mexican and asian) came behind us with a gun, stuck it on my rib cage and robbed us for my wallet and backpack and my friends' wallet, phone and keys. The black guy sticking me up took my keys and tossed it across the street and kept yelling to not look back.
As we were making a report to the police, they notified us that an 187 just occured 10-15 mins later not too far from the area we got mugged and involving 3 suspects.
Apparently, these guys were probably from Oakland from my friends credit card activities. I was able to block all my cards that night.
Bottom line, worst could have happen and thank God I can still be with my daughter.
Just be careful out there. |

scary. what specific street/corner? and what time?
while i'm not paranoid, i do take the basic precautions in that area like parking under street lights, avoiding the very-dark-under-the-trees side of harrison down from the car wash, not leaving any bags visible on my car interior, etc. |

| What was the 187 all about? Someone killed them or they killed someone they tried to rob? I hope it was the first so you guys could get your stuff back... thats awful! |

Happened around 1:30 am on 6th between folsom and howard and next to the alley way. From 1015 you could have easily seen it happen. |

wow, that's early and pretty much as busy of a street as you can get in the area in that area. must have been some of the 6th/mission crowd... but a bit more than your average crackhead. |

| It's getting scary out there. People are getting desparate during desparate times. You getting mugged in SF, my buddy getting mugged in LA. Another one of my buddies car got broken in to last night. Not that this stuff doesn't happen often but I've been hearing about it happening to more of my friends lately. Just makes me nervous being out as much as I'm out. I think it's only gonna get worse. |

| Whoa. That is pretty damn scary. Especially given the fact that a lot of people frequent 1015 almost every weekend. Whats even more surprising is that it happened right around the corner from the club entrance. Theres some crazy people out there these days. :nervous: |

| Its so ironic that this is happening 2 blocks away from the Hall of Justice. Police Headquarters is right there and this much crime happens that close to it. |
