Being in love does not make two people compatible.
People grow and change over time, and it is possible for two people to have been together and in love for over 6 years, only to have their lives go in different directions, resulting in them breaking up for no other reason than that they are no longer right for eachother. |

......and sometimes it gets to the point where you can hurt the other person beyond belief because you care so little for their feelings and feel so little for them/resent them being in your life because of these differences....

No, it's not the same in a direct respect, but it doesn't mean it hasn't messed up my whole life at the moment.
Not much one can do but soldier on, things always seem their worst when they happen. 10 years from now, many things will have been forgotten or seem irrelevant when looked at with an objective, clear mind.
Everything happens for a reason, but that doesn't mean anyone has to like them. |
