Sometimes it's not so much the thing that has happened that leads to the most pain, more the way it is handled by those causing the pain in the first place, lies and such like. But I am sure you know this.

Anyway I'm done, I guess it takes more energy to hate and all that.

Very true, but people make mistakes and hopefully learn from them.

'Love' certainly never really seems to pan out as it is expected for anyone. Maybe it is all made up crap that humans invented as a reason to stick together now that we are living more than twice as long as we did 100+ years ago.

Anyway, I guess it just sucks that you can love someone so much, and not want to lose them, and yet know at the very same time that you're not really meant to be together. It's hard to let something go when you don't really want to lose it to begin with.

Logic battles emotion.

As I stated earlier, if you're having this problem then it's not really love.

I disagree.

You can love someone and not share the same dreams and goals. You can love someone but not want to give up your life plans. People who love each other can drift apart, and follow different paths in life.

Love does not mean you HAVE to forgo what you want for your life, and doesn't mean that you immediately would or should.

We love each other, and we both want to be happy. We both know that certain life choices would not make either one of us happy, and that may mean being together will ultimately not be the best thing for us. Happiness is just as important as love, because without one, the other suffers.

Yes to the first, no to the second. If you really love each other you find a balance. If you really love another person their happiness is more important then your own.

When you meet the right person, you know. You won't be posting a thread like this, because you'll be too busy enjoying your relationship. Somehow, everything just seems to mesh together perfectly at that moment.

The biggest mistake people make is staying with someone they've been with for a while, because of the fact that they spent so much time together.

If you're having doubts, you're not happy.

You can be delusional, and decide to stay and make it work, but ultimately, you both will be miserable, and things will burst into flames.

Oh, yeah?! Well, then you bet I'll be waiting for the flames!

I'm a pyromantic :D

This sorta reminds me of my buddy. He's got a gf in Korea right now, and he says he "thinks" he loves her. I said, "Dude, if you have to say "think", then you don't love her."

Allow me to correct your way of thinking:

  1. He thinks he loves.
  2. He thinks, therefore he is.
  3. He is he loves.
  4. He is he-in-love.
  5. He is He-in Love
  6. He is Love.

  1. His girlfriend is Korea
  2. His girlfriend is, most likely, in North Korea
  3. His girlfriend is in North Korea
  4. His girlfriend keeps bitching about North Koreans
  5. His girlfriend is-constant-in-bitching in North Korea
  6. She is-constant-in-bitching in North Korea
  7. Sbe's a bitch in North Korea
  8. If she's a bitch in North Korea, she's a bitch everywhere else too
  9. She's a bitch in North Korea
  10. North Koreans eat dogs
  11. She's North Korean food

Conclusion: Not only He's Jesus, he also sent 50 kilos of some of the food he loved the most to the starving children of the Socialist Republic of Korea.
