The Simpsons will always be the best animated show of all time.. unfortunately the last 5+ years have been rubbish.
Family Guy is currently the funniest one of the lot but even it has gone downhill since it's prime.
I don't know what happened between me and South Park but I stopped watched it after season 3.
I liked Futurama but there it wasn't enough to hold me for more than one season. It's a great show when nothing else is on, lol
I never even gave American Dad a chance.. I heard it's hilarious though.

simpsons will always have a special place for everyone. however, i'd rather watch the reruns on CBC and wherever else than watching new ones on sunday.
south park i never really got into.
family guy is a real hit and miss these days. it's the same over and over again. there might actually be only one time i laugh during a show.
american dad is where it's at right now. the set of characters is pretty hilarious but rogers steals the cake. one of the best characters in an animated series. can't get enough of the whole show.
i always liked futurama and i still catch it sometimes late at night on YTV. gotta say, it's better than the simpsons and family guy. realy funny show.
i'll also tag along with mikey and throw in robot chicken cuz that's just out of this world.

South Park as I said in the other thread
Although I do agree with the above poster, Undergrads was a great show for me it doesn't/didn't come near South Park it is more in line with Futurama and American Dad (yes, I find that show hilarious) and Family Guy.
Simpsons will always be classic and it has had its moments in recent years but for the most part it has taken a loooong trip downhill and the long awaited movie did not help.
I don't think Robot Chicken counts as a cartoon and I think it was already specified that we aren't including it and the other Cartoon Network only shows in this poll - I did however drive to Buffalo with a buddy to see the Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters...border guards thought we were NUTS, lol

don't really watch simpsons anymore, used to love it back in the day but saw some newer episodes and they weren't all that entertaining.
family guy is so overrated, but still great for cheap laughs
i voted south park, even though it's hit-or-miss. the most recent seasons are getting better and better but there are still some episodes that go back to the mindless shock humour of when the show was new. but the good episodes are amazingly well written, especially when they make an entire episode a spoof. it has as many great pop culture references as family guy except they actually have something to do with the plot of the episode. i also love how episodes are always socially relevant and politically neutral.. unlike a lot of comedy they do a great job of making fun of liberals too, in more ways than making fun of hippies.
but ATHF > all of the above for sure. carl is the best cartoon character to ever exist

Best of all-time: Simpsons
Best currently: South Park
Most consistent: Family Guy
They all win.

The social satirist in me loved Simpsons in its hey day. Then came along Futurama, which tickled the inner nerd in me. But the tops in my books right now it is a toss up between Boondocks and Robot Chicken, which satisfies the ADD, violent side of me.
Family guy is one of the most over rated show of all time. Maybe right up there with Gilligan's Island.
But, best of all time for being a trend setter is most certainly Simpsons.

easily southpark

Family Guy...the most random generational references I've seen in a cartoon. It's not groundbreakingly new...Simpsons and South Park still own the genre, but Family Guy took it to another level. It is also clearly aimed at a 30-ish (and slightly older) crowd in order to really get all the references.
I watch the others though. American Dad is hit or miss. Drawn Together is good, but kind of over-the-top and stale. Toss up between Futurama and South Park being #2.

That's why none of the kids 'get it'

Family Guy was better when it had an actual story accented by references / gags / jokes. Now it feels like Family Guy is more "lets toss in as many 'Remember that time.'... as possible" gags/references with just enough story to string them together.
I'll still watch it, but no longer as excited for new episodes as I used to be.
