PCmag has reviews..
I like Lenovo Y510 series..
Dell are aight
and IBM/Lenovo T series are tops for business (bulletproof)

and make sure you get new CENTRINO 2 laptop, those are just ocming out..
2 being a key word, Centrino 1 is retiring..

if ya doin graphics and mac friendly then no doubt you should go with a mac but otherwise if ya goin inside PC world, then screen clearity & graphic card wha you lookin at but otherwise consider what else you will use it for and account for that as well. (like gigs for work vs. music, gaming, & so forward)

Macs are way overpriced.. u can get a more powerful dual core laptop with 4gb ram for $600 from a good brand.. and software is cheaper and more available..

PS Traktor Dj Studio works awesome on a laptop.. u can also check out ableton, mixmeister, torq, virtualDJ, etc.. PC has TONS of software for DJs and producers... probably more than MAC.

could never go back to a pc...like NEVER.

no annoying spyware/virus's anymore.

get to run a sick DAW (logic), editing in final cut is a breeze for video.

man..if you got the time, i say try a mac before you jump the gun and say something idiotic like that lol.

to answer cris's question..go for a macbook pro. there great machines, highly recommended but agree, the price is a bit up there (like 2g's).
