here is all the proof you need that aliens exist.

I have never tried to brain wash people or persuade everyone toward my viewpoint. People can believe what they want and even if the governments do come forward in the forseeable future and introduce declassified images and videos, there will still be those who don't believe it.

What I AM trying to convey here, rather, is that there is a lot of stuff out there already, which we cannot explain, that is happening in our own skies and in the space around our planet. If it's space debris, then ok...let's research it and prove it! I've never seen a reputable scientist actually provide convincing evidence that disproves some of the more recent footage posted within this thread. If the most brilliant minds we have can't explain it, I still will never understand a lot of the blatant stubbornness with which this issue is greeted by some of you here.

Humans have always been a curious race...it comes with intelligence. How many of you really don't want to know or don't care about the footage, images, sightings, testimonies, etc? Yes, we do have active imaginations and there are definitely some whackos out there who have profited off this phenomenon (as with anything in the modern world). But in my opinion, it's time that we really start to evaluate the possibility of what these UFOs really mean. I dont' think it's a matter that should be deferred to the government either.

If there is intelligent life out there and they are taking an active interest in this planet (for whatever reason), is it not in our own best interests to be as prepared as possible?

I've always been interested in how people can claim that an "unexplained weather phenomenon" can follow and track military aircraft doing around 1500 miles per hour or ones that flee or disappear when they are tracked or fired at in return!

I've also never heard of any type of weather pattern that hovers above cities in an obvious formation and flashes lights for everyone to see. Of course it's possible, but it would defy pretty much everything we understand about physics and flight.

I also don't see understand the ignorance about our own evolutionary achievements. Yes we have come quite far and we're as advanced as ever, but where were we say...10,000 years ago? Barely surviving and fighting each other with sticks and stones. Where will we be in another few thousands years, considering how rapidly we've come in only the last few hundred years after the industrial revolution.

Is it so absurd that there is the POSSBILITY that we are being studied or observed, much the same way we study and observe (and cage) less intelligent species on our own planet? We are at the top of the food chain on this planet, but there is absolutely nothing to suggest we're top of the universe. We can't even fly to Mars yet but just because we can't do it, doesn't mean it can't be done.

But if it's aliens, then you only need a handful of people to say that it's aliens (or even just that it's mysterious or unexplained). Where is the research? Where is the proof?

Quite the double standard you've set, with the burden of proof placed squarely on the side of the most rational explanation.

No more ifs, buts, is it possible, why is it this, why isn't it that. No more questions. Is it possible we're being tracked by aliens? Yes, there's a very remote possibility of that. Is it a possibility worth seriously considering or discussing? No, not until there's sufficient evidence to support that explanation. In the meantime, STFU, kplzthx.

lol, well I'm not assuming anything. I'm only speculating and making some observations about our own planet, people and our collective evolution. And I don't think they're ridiculous observations either if you put it in perspective.

For example, what do you think an animal (like a bird or a cat) thinks when they see humans driving around in cars and flying helicopters? They don't have the means of comprehending it. Perhaps we similarly aren't ready or aren't able to understand what is really happening around us. What did the aboroginal peoples of North and South America believe the English and Spaniards to be when they landed on the coasts? Yes, you're right...Gods, superior beings, etc. They had no clue and had absolutely no comprehension of how those galleons and frigates managed to move so swiftly across the water. One of my main points from all of this is that we should not FEAR or DISMISS what we don't understand, even if it's in our own nature to do so.

And Digi, you are the kind of person that, even with the most high quality film or photographic image, you would still say it's fake or whatever. You'll never believe anything....you feel more comfort in dismissing everything that might force us to re-evaluate where we stand as a society whereas people like me and many others (you can't deny that fact), would rather see scientific research conducted in the public eye without the government (mainly the American government) trying to disprove or discredit everything.

The fact that there are more questions than answers about this issue is exactly why people should start taking it seriously. Attitudes are already changing...some 70% of the North American population admit to believing in alien life. If you had asked that question, say 50 years ago, most people would have just spewed all the US Air Force propanda about the sightings being "weather balloons". Well we aren't that stupid anymore and it's no surprise that various agencies now simply remain silent instead of outright denial.

Very light on the observation; very heavy on the speculation. As I've pointed out so many times already, of what value is your speculation with no evidence or logic to support it? Why aren't we speculating that these phenomena are caused by God or Buddha or the Flying Spaghetti Monster? Maybe they're filming movies up there? This is all just pissing in the wind.

You keep repeating this chestnut over and over again and yet you still haven't addressed a single one of the numerous points I've made.

Do I need to restate them or are you capable of reading more than three words from those posts?

Who says it isn't logical to believe in intelligent life outside of Earth, perhaps even ones more advanced than us who observe us the way we observe and study other species? Explain to me again why there is no logic in that. How is there any more logic in believing in any of the religious texts that are out there? We could really, REALLY get into all that crap if you're one of those religious whackos, but I suspect not.

And there IS evidence that suggests we look more closely at the issue of UFOs. But you refuse to give it the time of day and are only concerned with dismissing it all. Why don't you talk to those mexican air force pilots who filmed that footage of eleven UFOs tracking their plane? Those guys were ting their pants and you call it pissing in the wind!

God this thread is hilarious on so many levels.

*sigh* how many times must I repeat myself...

The burden of proof is on you to explain why these are logical explanations. It's not an argument to ask us "why not". Without evidence, without some sort of rationale, it's just idle, pointless, nonsensical speculation.

Who knew Agent Scully would cause so much damage to the understanding of the scientific method in the eyes of the general public?

The X-Files was a fictional show!
