guess everyone should be afraid of ugly white people in black band t-Shirts to, right?

White people in black band shirts? NO.

White people in black band shirts at large outdoor rock festivals where people are egging them on? YES.

Also, I dont find it to be a matter of being afraid. Persoanlly, its more of a wise decision. If you know violence is rampant (which one could argue that it is) then why go..??

But violence isn't rampant.

My parents often go to the parade... a white couple from the burbs that's now in the 60s. I assure you if violence was rampant, my parents would not be there.

You might as well not go out on a random night downtown if you're afraid of being shot, or on a boxing day. The lot of you are ridiculous.

Do you have any statistics to back this up? This event attracts 1,000,000 people! A million people! Obviously there is going to be violence. Even if there is one murder out of a million attending the event, it still gets sensationalized and everyone thinks it's a violent event.

Nevermind the racist undertones (or overtones) of this thread. Trying to predict how many murders there will be isn't funny. Imagine I started a thread, which TA'S parent is going to develop a brain tumour first. Or which TA will die in a car accident first? Is that funny?

You say you want the city to hold something similar to LoveFest (yay, let's copy an idea from somewhere else...woo hoo!) because our city is cool with hosting a violence prone event...well I don't know how the city would feel with promoting an event that would be profitable to drug trafficking because we all know EDM people are drug abusers...

well said.

of course i know they occur.. im just saying that that image and character is almost glorified in that scene. just look at the people standing around in the vid, cheering the fight on, i CAN say i've never seen that at the guv. Anytime i've witnessed a fight at an EDM party people are trying to get the out of there. Not standing around waiting for round two.

I watched the video again.. I see ONE guy trying to get people to fight him(brown guy), I see several people trying to break it up, I see a couple of people taking video (your friend included)

I see no one egging anyone on... except the one brown guy who's seems to be provoking people to fight him.

caribana can be fun if you use good judgment. stay out of trouble and stay away from trouble. you see a fight brewing? don't stand and gawk... walk the other way! it's that simple.
