You would have to grow up watching most of them to really appreciate them. Watching them a decade late would really take the fun out of them IMO. |

hated them when i was a kid, hate them now. a few exceptions like monty python or faulty towers (tho the latter might have been 80s?) but MASH and i dream of genie and brady bunch and gilligan's island and my three sons and everything else were just awful.
i really feel sorry for those people that lived at a time before television had grown the up. |

I don't really care for the old sitcoms and stuff, either, actually.
I enjoy old documentaries and commercials. |

yeah, docos are important because they cover more than just the subject matter they're looking at. they provide a small window into society and how things were done at the time the doco was made.
i swear there was only one narrator for every american doco made before i was born!! :stongue: its always the same guy! |

| Yep...seemed like all the Doc were by the same old bastard. I like some 70s shows just because thats what I grew up watching. C.H.I.P.S. was great IMO. MASH in sucked and so did Taxi. Actually...now that I think about it. Most did eat but there are a few I can deal with.:( |

Pre 80s shows were great for its time but it just didn't age well at all.
Monty Python, All in the Family and I Love Lucy are examples of shows that aged well. Can't say much for the rest of the shows. |
