Getting paid by labels

I wanted someone who is signed to run through what kind of rates you get or up front payments etc.
I had an electro hit called party time which topped all download sites and the label paid me nothing.
Whats an average fee for a tune. whats everyone else getting |

Yeah i did a 50 - 50 deal but they kept saying oh the figures arent back yet then dissapeared for weeks at a time. I checked beatport and its still the best seling track on their label. Ministry of sound put it on the inside track page and beatsdigital said to me of the record it did really well. In the end because i was trying to get signed again i said you can keep the money and i did it on email so the bastards got it in writing .\
I just curious some people get upfront payments wondered if anyone landed a big score from a label? |

that doesnt mean (the e-mail thing), request a statement and an invoice... even if you said you dont wanna get paid both sides has signed a contract, contact them asap and ask for a statement at least... |
