Something I've never really understood ..

I know 'Original Mix' means like the original song, but what's the difference between that and 'Club Mix', or do they mean the same thing

Edit: The above was badly worded. I wanted to know if they meant the same thing/were interchangeable because of releases containing one or the other (or other odd things like original club mix), but this question has now been answered.

original mix is the first version a producer releases...

club mix means the arrangement/mix has been changed to work better either in a club or it's easier to mix for deejays.

not to hard to understand...

I see his point though. Some songs dont have an original mix. Just a club mix.

I think the 2 terms are interchangeable

you're wrong. simple as that.

they all have an original mix, and if you don't see it it's because it wasn't released or they named it badly.

club mix != original mix.

it's true that the club mix may be produced by the original producer, but that doesn't mean it's the original mixdown of the track.

listen to ame - fiori (original mix) versus ame - fiori (club mix)

What he said.

Did it recently with my new track. Original had a great intro build but would make it a twat to mix unless used as an starter. So made a 'club' version which starts with kick and percussion etc. Though I haven't called it a club mix as the term reminds me of cheesy euro e.
