Wow! That last bit with the ppl dressed in green lighting up was immense!

f'ing huge. i almost want them to stop because i have to do tonight and i can't stop watching. i haven't even taken a shower! looks like my date is sucking on some sweaty balls tonight (i worked out after work).

you could say that about almost every celebration, obviously not to that extent but in the grand scheme of wasting money companies/organizations do it all the time at least this is entertaining and a one time thing...also doesn't that include the costs of both the opening and closing ceremonies?

i dunno where you got your figure from but i just read online it was 123 mil Euro... which is like 170 US probably.

didn't catch the opening but i've been watching the parade of nations right from the beginning, starting with greece. these announcers suck, how would it feel to be known as "another caribbean island" or "this is the country where madonna adopted her baby", or nothing at all and just a quick name mention during a montage of countries left out because of commercial breaks.

romania's on right now, my favorite outfits so far. haha.

well i don't think they just have the time to mention every significant piece of detail about each country through its 20 seconds of passing in front of camera that will be relevant and interesting to americans.
