From the moment we arrived to Sunnyside I could see this little patch of open sky to the northwest, and as the afternoon went on I swore it was getting closer as the light rain continued to come down...low and behold, the skies broke open just as Psyrel & her crew arrived (told ya so Tara :P), and from there it was on!
Great sets delivered all around, and that stretch of JOTS, A-Trak & Erol was some of the best party music I ever heard. A fresh, up for it crowd to boot and many "wtf!?" moments throughout the night.
Everything seemed to come together to create a special day on the Toronto waterfront...big up yaselves!
p.s. Jeff Button fa-REAKING out in the front moshpit during A-Trak's set...ftw ;)

I wonder how many of the people who bitch about hipsters used to wear phat pants, button down shirts and ties to raves back in the day.

Absolutely great party, and a fantastic venue. Hats off to Embrace.
The weather certainly appeared to inhibit attendance early on too, but things filled up nicely.
Drinks were not cheap (love looking in the wallet the next morning to find it empty, haha!).
Really enjoyed Matthew Dear, and Heidi, Button rocked it (well done man), and the party downstairs was a blast.
First time I've been out in a while: was great crossing paths with old friends again :)

In my experience, ravers are slightly more personable than this new crowd.

+1. I've noticed this too.
And yes, you should have come. You missed out!

Hipsters rule the nation!

Embrace all types of music... was great to see ravers, rockers, punkers and hiphopers all in one venue and all partyin it up together... true rave ideals and mentality!

haha....
yes, for A-Trak and Erol Alkan especially.... A-Trak's set was a complete shocker. i was expecting routines, hip-hop, scratching... he was playing straight up booty shaking party music better than i've ever heard/witnessed. unreal.
by the time Soulwax was done with their 20 minute 'mic check' i was starting to lose interest, but they were dope as well.
i've got like 10,000,000 videos.... lol some ed up, some just straight epicness. i'll try posting tonight.
