There should be considerations of - just cause and reasonable force.
A quick smack across the face/butt for being out of line: reasonable
Throwing the kid across the room because you had a bad day at work: unreasonable
A smack on the ass for stealing your moms wallet: reasonable
Punching the kid in the eye because he interrupted you watching TV: unreasonable

i got the belt, wire coat hanger and wooden spoon.
my mom was buying a new wooden spoon almost every week cuz they kept breaking.
ahahahaha...I remember the wooden spoon! The problem is that when it broke, I bet your mom got even more pissed, right? LOL!!!
I laugh now, but it wasn't funny when I was a kid. :wtf:
Thinking back, actually being hit was extremely rare...as just the sound of the drawer opening was usually enough to elicit compliance. Pavlov would be proud.
meh...so unecessary to repeatedly beat your kids though. you do it a few times and the kid learns to not to tempt fate...or it doesn't work and beating them repeatedly is pointless and you need to find something else.

he should have sodomized her while she was sleeping. that's what I would have done.

Honestly that's the only real-world solution I can think of.

according to the article, the father quit the volunteer he did with kids... doesn't say anything about him being asked to resign or canned do to recieving his "caution".
why not just right an article about the guy with unpaid parking tickets who fears he might not be able to renew his plates
this article is stupid, and those people are fags.

lol my dad used wood sprues, and when they broke, he'd send me to a forrest close to our house for me to pick out another one, on my own. If I were stupid enough to get one that was dry and would break on the first hit, I knew I'd just be in for another walk to pick up a fresh one.
I completely agree with the general sentiments in that children should definitely be disciplined, and that includes physical discipline, in moderation, and when called for. Sometimes, there is just no other way to teach someone the concept of action -> consequence.
