FYI... the times on the tickets that were 30 minutes ahead of the actual times
Reason being is if we were scheduled to leave at 12 and told everyone 12, then they'd all come at 12 and we wouldn't be leave until 12:30 or 12:45, and it really would cut into our time on the lake. I've organized 14 boat cruises now, and I know that people don't come early and they wait until the last second to show up. It may not be all of them, but it is defintely most of them. It's unfortunate that I have to do that, but the other option is we end up being on the water for only 3 hours and have everyone pissed off. If everyone would just come early, then it would make everyone's lives so much easier and would mean that we wouldn't have anymore threads like this.
Leaving when you still have a line up is not an option, that's quite possibly the most recockulous things I've ever heard. I can only imagine the thread that would pop up on TA about anyone who would ever actually stop the line and leave a couple of hundred people standing there on the dock. LMAO!
anyways, I've said this already and I'll say it again, this was not a 2.5 hour cruise.. it wasn't a 3 hour cruise.. nor was it a 3.5 hour cruise... we only the lake for *just* under 4 hours.
I'm very sorry if 4 hours is not long enough for some people, but for the majority of our crowd it is, and those that wanted a little more got an extra 15 minutes of Kaskade on the dock.
you can't please everyone all the time, but we love trying and 95% of the people on that boat were visibly happy and appreciative of our efforts. |

Lateness is a human trait is a crock of . If I tried that with my bosses or my clients or my staff I wouldn't have a job. |
if we could threaten people with the loss of their job, i don't think they'd shell out for tickets to begin with ;) |

Yes he was . Have always avoided him and will never go see him again (even if it is a friends birthday again). One of the worst sets I've heard all year (maybe just not my thing). I do have to say that Kaskade seriously has to get over himself with the awful granny sunglasses, the fist pumping and the whistling at his own songs during his own set. |
hmmmmm...i'm gonna have to disagree immensely but to each his own about the music..as for his attitude..i was front left the whole afternoon and he seemed like a super humble dude..took pics with people who bothered him in mid set..seemed generally appreciative of what was happening around him..he had a lot of interaction with the crowd and was groovin with us..smile on his face the whole time...at one point he got on the mic and thanked everyone for having him there...what else can u expect from a dj? How many times do you hear a dj thank the patron for having him????
the glasses were probably worth more than my car..lol..and they were pretty hot IMO..:tongue3 :tongue3 |

Anyway I will go on other cruises but I'm not counting on anything changing. |
The best way to send a message is with your wallet. Why pay FIFTY bucks for something that consistently doesn't meet your expectations? |

The only reason I went on this cruise was for Dan's birthday as I knew I wouldn't like the music. The cruise also did meet my expectation as I had a great time with my friends and enjoyed the weather. If the promoters can figure out how to get people boarded quicker and leave on time that would just be the icing on the cake. |

Activate: i really appreciate you guys booking kaskade as he's one of my fav djs on the scene these days! He's also one of the most humble djs i've met, was genuinely appreciative of this gig, and looked to have had an awesome time without coming off to the crowd as arogent.
With everything that was said about the boarding process...My beef was that i didn't park my car until 11:10 and i rushed like mad to the boat in fear of missing it. I really did expect it to be prompt, and didn't want to take chances, then to my shock of everyone standing around and no-one boarding. Why didn't the boarding BEGIN until 11:30 there were a lot of people hanging around at that point, and thats where i felt robbed on time. As long as people are boarding obviously the line won't be cut, thats retarded, but when the stairs are drawn, thats it. What was with those people arriving at 12:30 and having the stairs drawn back out for them? thats rediculous, how do these people have $50 to throw away becuase obviously you shouldn't arrive an hour late with the expectation to actually get on. I had an amazing time and loved the day, but i would have felt even more satisfied if the boat had at least left before 12 and got back at 4. it left at closer to 12:45 i think. |

I really can't comment on why the stairs were lowered for them. I was DJing from 11:30-1 and didn't know what was going on outside of that area.
I sincerily thank you for coming on time, and I wish everyone could follow your lead. It's not like we didn't want the boat to leave on time.. we make every efford possible to ensure things try and run smoothly, and most of the time they do.
we really do wish everyone could leave feeling completely satisfied. unfortunately that is never the case. All i can say is that we will stress in all of our promo for upcoming cruises that people need to show up on time.
next one is on labor day.. same boat... anyone that is planning on coming PLEASE come on time... better yet.. come early! |

could not agree with you more. Although I agree that we did end up leaving the dock a little later than expected,
it didn't really matter when considering the entire day. The weather was amazing (for once), one of the best crowds
i've partied with and great music all around. What more can you ask for? Really good stuff!!!
JON thanks again buddy |

I had a lot of fun playing on the lower deck... total madness down there
Kaskade was good too - not exactly my bag when it comes to tunes, but it's fun music and amazing for a boat.... too many people get caught up in taking music so seriously imo. Technically he was really good as well... pretty flawless from what I caught of him. |
