Homebrews are like a dime a dozen now. You can go to ing Target and pick yourself up some create-a-beer kits.
The next up and coming thing is the create-a-spirit. There's this company that supplies you with an oak barrel (miniature like 3 or 5 Liter barrel) and you put in the grain alcohol and the mixture of whatever spirit you want and let it ferment for a week.
You can make whiskey, tequila, bourbon, scotch, brandy and more! and it tastes just like premium brands. Jack, Johnny, Jose, Captain, etc..

Yes, but the 'unclean' sediment in the beer (which is in itself alcoholic) goes into your system, and it broken down slightly more slowly that the 'liquid' alcohol. This results in punishment for your brain the next day.
Of course, I could be wrong. |

'unclean sediment' is alcohol?
the alcohol comes from yeast eating the sugar. the alcohol is a byproduct, not any form of sediment or chunk in the beer. the sediment you are referring to may be grain or hops that just didn't get filtered out?
although, I will give you that home brews have the availability to be more alcoholic. this IPA that I am brewing (it's downstairs fermenting right now) will be a higher percentage. probably high 7%. |
