Our monthly radio show showcases the AMP roster and special guest DJs from around the globe. The September show will showcase the sounds of Mili Sefic

Wednesday, September 10 :: 11a - 1p CST

Mili Sefic

Born in Mostar, Bosnia, Mili Sefic grew up with a passion for electronic
music. By the time he came to America in 93' Mili already had a clear
understanding of the contents of good music. By the late 90'S Mili took his love for electronica to another level and began his DJ career. Mili's earliest influences included the likes of John Digweed, Deep Dish and Danny Howels.
After spending day in and day out perfecting the art of Djing, Mili began to show off his skill playing clubs and raves throughout Chicago. With a talent that cannot be denied, and carefully chosen track selection, Mili Sefic now stands as one of Chicago's top progressive DJ's. Mili is known to be a master of reading and manipulating a crowd. His style consists of deep and funky progressive house with a touch of tribal.

Today, Mili's name continues to grow as his bookings have taken him across North America including Miami, Vegas, etc. Mili's passion for the music drove him to begin producing his own music, as he is now working on his first original tracks.

I am really excited about this - I'm sure I've said this a million times here already, but Mili is really one of only a handful of local guys from the midwest I really, really looked up to. I feel like a lot of where I'm at now as a DJ (Mili is the best opening DJ I've ever seen - basically the Jimmy van M of Chicago) and just as a fan of music, I owe to him (particularly my Danny Howells addiction), and since he's been gone from Chicago I've definitely missed both playing nights with him and just hearing him play out.

Anyways, hope you all can check this out early next month - I'm sure it will be quite good.

:)

Good to see you back around these parts my friend! :)

Edit: What the hell is this opener? I am absolutely loving the intro.

Edit 2: That's it, if you're not coming back to Chicago soon, I am finding a way to ship my ass to Bosnia. Just listening to the beginning of this I am already getting nostalgic for so many Mili/Howells nights...
