I just noticed this now. What a ing .
The worst part of all of this is that Joel's response will be "The nice thing is that people buy my music so I don't care if a few geeks don't like it."

I'll be fine with never making the kind of splash in any industry that Deadmau5 has in the world of EDM.
Though I am impressed he's been able to do so in such shallow waters, so kudos to him for that.  |

I don't. I think he's just that devoid of creative ability, and frankly, the rest of the titles should make that pretty clear to you as well. |

| Personally I think he's creative with his music style only (the eighth note groove he basically made into a genre :p ) and he has made what you call lazy into a brand. He's riding the internet horse into stardom. |

That's not what I think of as creativity, and even if he uses them constantly, he's hardly the first to hammer "eighth notes" in EDM - you can go back 20 years and hear old techno tracks basically doing what he did with Faxing Berlin and Not Exactly much earlier, and hell, if you don't want to go back that far, just listen to any of the 99 Essential Mix World Tour.
What I call lazy, is lazy, boring, and devoid of what I would call any creative effort. At least that's how it seems to me.
