When I download a file, it doesn't ask me where I want to put the file.
I set it to ask (Tools/Options). So when I click to Save As (versus Open)not only does it NOT ask me where to put the file, nothing happens. No download. Nothing. If I click open with, it'll start to download but I don't want to open, I want to Save As...
So I had to tell it always download to one folder. And I had to make a new folder for all downloads, then after the download is complete, I have to move the file to the folder I would have downloaded to originally. P.I.T.A.
AND the download page is different. I no longer have the option to open the file from the download page and the text is very big...
Needless, to say, I regret updating.

ummm...no. Learn how to use it. It's loads better than 2 and easier to use. Also is much faster and requires even less resources. |

Tools/Options. *Always ask me...*
Works for me.
If you want to open the file from the download window just double click on the row. |

I selected "Always ask me."
Wow, did you totally ignore what I wrote or am I sloppy with English today? Let me copy paste from the original message:

Let me simplify, for you, Ek0nomik.
I went to Tools, Options, Main and I clicked "Always Ask me Where to Save Files."
When I tried to download a file, I clicked "Save As...."
What should have happened? A dialog box would open where I would select where I wanted the file saved.
What actually happened? Nothing. I looked in the Download Window. Top file was a file I downloaded yesterday. I was not asked where to put the file. Nothing. |
