HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREA!
It has been a trialled and tribulated (aware of the non-words happening) 5 years of best-friend-land. I will never forget the first night at Fever, in the dankest, darkest, dingiest basement that Hamilton could afford to call a club where I met this flying yellow ponytail amass with freckles. I was scared of you. You thought I was funny. I was envious of your free spirit. You thought I was funny. You were the chick with all the moves. I was funny. Some things stay the same, I'm still glad I don't have freckles. We continued our friendship through Islington avenue, sometimes interluded with Dixie Mall outlet shopping. The person I was timid around, became the bleeding heart that irritated me with her social welfare quotes pasted all over her computer monitor. It was a friendship meant for the history books.
The Andrea years of my life have no doubt been the most informative, intelligent, exhilarating, fulfilling and yet oddly challenging ;). You have a zest and a spark immovable and unmatchable by any other person I know. You have been there every time I have ever needed you, even if it meant getting someone else, IN ANOTHER COUNTRY, to try and help. (I am cool with your bleeding heart now). You put every ounce of your being into your friendships, and I am walking proof of someone who shines brighter in this world, having been touched by your light.
Thank you for Burlington, Hamilton, Ibiza, England, Australia, Dixie Mall, camp, clubs, basement parties, picture days, astronomical phone bills, road trips, cuddle puddles, New York City, the Danforth, egg appreciation, costumes, breakfast parties, 3 am open door policy, not crashing my car ever, onlineclock.net, international mail, LCBO hunts, gas station hold ups, kraft dinner, hollandaise sauce, deep dark secrets, optimism, enthusiasm, trust, understanding, honesty and unconditional love. You have left your footprint on my heart. Welcome to 25 :) I love you.
