Where exactly in your "sociology and economics" classes did it say that personal attacks are an effective debating technique? Since most people have their retirement plans based on 401(k)'s, which are invested in the stock market, it is absolutely in the public's interest to be aware of results on the Street.

I was talking about a corporation's right to make money, and how it can benefit society. Now you are talking about individuals within a corporation. 2 different discussions.


As your title states though, this is an opinion based discussion. It is probably best to agree to disagree ;)

The obvious argument here is if their legislative influence actually impacts the public in a negative way.
