OK, umm, what the ?

quote:
State records show the business ran into trouble with Alaska's division of corporations business and professional licensing after Palin became governor of the state in 2006.

A Feb. 11, 2007 letter to the governor's business partner advises that the car wash had "not filed its biennial report and/or paid its biennial fees," which were more than a year overdue.

The warning letter was written on state letterhead, which carried Palin's name at the top, next to the state seal.

On April 3, 2007, the state went further and issued a "certificate of involuntary dissolution" because of the car wash's failure to file its report and pay state licensing fees.

So this gal is literally a heart beat away from controlling our county and the most powerful country in the world, yet she and her husband as part owners couldn't keep a ing CAR WASH business open via failure of compliance with state regulations?

Christ, man.

Forgot this part:

quote:
Palin's gubernatorial disclosure filings also reveal her involvement in another failed startup -- a marketing business which was to go by the name Rouge Cou, which evidently is a literal French translation of "red neck." On the 2005 form, Palin describes the firm as one for which she secured a license but did not conduct any business.

See though the thing is Obama went to an real school and got a real degree, and was a Senator from a real state. I mean come on my hometown has at least twice the people of Alaska. This is from a neutral perspective too since I'm definitely not voting for Obama.

I know someone esle that didn't go to "an real" school...lol. j/k man ;) But seriously, that's the elitist perspective that turns off so many voters that Obama needs. He needs votes from average, everyday americans, not just the Ivy League. His lack of practical real world experience that you and I live every day is hurting him. It's not about the school she went to. I know it's disconnected, but Alaska is a real state and Palin operated a $10 billion budget while managing its $13 billion in revanue. That's more than double what Biden's state is responsible for with a poplulation of 100,000 less.

My thought is, the rabid overwhelming attacks and personal intrusion on Palin is going to help her. I think people should underestimate her at their own peril.

Are you really trying to say that Palin has more experience than Biden? And I also think average americans should want to vote for someone who is very intelligent, went to a great school, and took a serious major over someone who is just like them (nothings/nobodies). I know many people who went to better schools than U Idaho (is that where she trained to be a sportscaster?) and took serious degrees like Medicine, Law, Engineering, etc... But I still wouldn't want them running the country because they're like me and I want someone better and smarter and more responsibile than I am in charge.

huh? no i'm just comparing state budgets. But Biden wasn't making those management decisions anyway. Don't take for granted that people are more willing to vote for someone they can relate to and understand than what college they went to. She's not running for president anyway. Book smart and "commen sense based on practical real life experience smart" are 2 different things. I think there's something to admire about a self made, independant person rising to the top from nothing while doing it on their own.

like to see you tell an Alaskan that. Alaska is as real as any other state.

what you're basically saying is that she's done more with less. or at the very least, as much with less.

Exactly Biden has a lot more common sense based on practical real life experience smart. I don't see how Palin could have more practical real life experience given that she's quite a bit younger and has lead a fairly banal life up until this moment. Or from being a governor of a state that has half the population of my hometown which is fundamentally different from being a US senator since you are then working out of DC and have to work with all of the other US legislators instead of being isolated in BFE as a governor of a state with nobody that is physically closer to Russia than it is to the Capitol building.

A lot of states are small as and sparsely populated which relegates them to the status of 'wannabe state'. Now Bush was the governor of a real state not that it helped him much.
