So this gal is literally a heart beat away from controlling our county and the most powerful country in the world, yet she and her husband as part owners couldn't keep a ing CAR WASH business open via failure of compliance with state regulations?
Christ, man. |
I hope this is sarcasm? The media and the left are grasping at straws. McCain was right, there's not going to be anything substantial on this woman. Short of a smoking gun on the corruption scandal.
The real issue here is the reinstalled vigor this selection has caused among the conservative base. We're heading into the old issues again, abortion, gun control, gay marriage. The media is starting to pick up on this. So the question becomes, can McCain win a new culture war? Apparently he thinks he can - or at least its his best shot. |

No no being the son of HW helped him because he was running TX into the ground. How the is OK a real state? Their main sports team is a college football team. COLLEGE! |

Was offering the idea that Iraq needs to be split into 3 different ethnic countries based on common sense? Experience doesn't equal wisdom |

You were trying to pass it off as if it did. I was just using your own logic which I don't agree with. Then again I'm not voting for either of these tickets so I think I have a different perspective that those of us who are supporting Obama or McCain. |

You should read the proposal, it's really quite a lot more nuanced than your version. |

:haha: :haha: Clearly you dont know anything about opening for profit corporations.
Let me explain to you something. Sometime ago I opened up a for pro fit corporation because I wanted to start a business. I didnt open up and start the business right away, I was still finishing up my business plan, so why did i open it? Because the name of the business I wanted to name wasnt yet registered with my states division of corporation. So by fearing someone else would use my name I registered it and opened up the corporation. Ironically, i didnt fully operate the corporation till 1 1/2 year later. Every year you need to pay a fee to the division of corporations. I didnt pay it so they nulled my corporation as inactive but it was still registered under my name. After that 1 1/2 year later i filed for reinstatement. This practice is common in the business world when people have a unique business name and they hurry up to have it registered so no one else can use it.
These practices are common in the business world. Many scenarios can apply why some corporations get nulled. Some people decide to open up a business, register the name but at the end they decide not to go with the venture and just leave them as inactive. But the reason why I did it is one of the most common ones.
This is news because? Wow the far left can do better than that... when you have something worthy to show to us comeback  You guys must be really desperate, you people just love making yourself look bad with this typf of nonsense |

| I'm confused. Should some stars on the flag be bigger or smaller than others, relatively speaking? Real state vs. Wannabe state? Are you serious? I'm sure the good people of Hawaii would be happy if you never set foot on their wannabe paradise again. Population is not what makes a state "real" or less real. Bubba was the Governor of Arkansas--have you ever been there? Alaska is the biggest friggin state by a few million square miles, geographically speaking. Does that count for anything? What does it matter? What it really comes down to is governing a state and managing a similar process, looking out for the interests of hundreds of thousands to millions of people. Do you truly feel that the people living in Alaska are somehow less difficult to govern or have simpler interests than those living in any other state? This argument is as silly as the day is long. It's not like governing Alaska is the equivalent to managing a seven-eleven for 's sake. |

We should probably make the stars proportional to the number of electoral votes. |

And this relates to her situation, how? You know for a fact that your situation was somehow identical to hers?
And even if I were to take your story at face value (which I'm skeptical of this even being your story, considering how much contrived bull you've brought to us already, Professor), and even if I were to grant you some sort of similar relationship to Palin's story, how does that allow her a free pass for a failure to comply with State regulations to file a biennial report and pay the fees as mandated? Why would we expect someone who is trying to vie for the VP slot, the 2nd highest position in our government (and arguably the world), to receive a pass for failure to comply with state laws WHILE SHE WAS THE FREAKING GOVERNOR AT THAT TIME?!?
As a commentator added in that blog:
| quote: | I own a small business (31 years) and network w/other small business owners. There have been numerous comments about not filing your annual corportate reports being no big deal and that's how corporations "normally" do it when they want to disolove their business.
That simply is NOT TRUE. RESPONSIBLE business owners know that if you don't file corp reports/fees you loose your corp shield/status w/the State. In my experience only bad or scumbag business people not to file. Also, when you disolve a corp there are legal steps you have to follow - you don't simply not file. But I guess maybe those rules, and good business sense, only apply to us hardworking, honest democrate business owners. I keep forgetting the Repubs don't have to follow the rules or laws. |
So in short, ing please, coward. That's a terrible excuse that shouldn't fly for anyone, let alone a freaking GOVERNOR of the state who regulates her business.
| quote: | | This is news because? |
See above, coward.

Yeah, we're really the ones looking bad with your wonderful, dumb pick as VP. This is but yet another link in the long chain of wonderful events that's pouring out about this little dum creationist of yours, and it's getting better everyday.
BTW, I'm ready to debate you on your terms, coward. Just hollar whenever you're ready to start the thread. |

Are you really trying to say that Palin has more experience than Biden? And I also think average americans should want to vote for someone who is very intelligent, went to a great school, and took a serious major over someone who is just like them (nothings/nobodies). I know many people who went to better schools than U Idaho (is that where she trained to be a sportscaster?) and took serious degrees like Medicine, Law, Engineering, etc... But I still wouldn't want them running the country because they're like me and I want someone better and smarter and more responsibile than I am in charge. |
fiy Palin went to 5 schools in 6 years |
