ONE new release track in .wav costs €4.00 now.
€1.75 for a similar release on Dancerecords. |

Well, beatport have just lost me as a customer.
I had £175.00 worth of music carted on their site and had planned on adding to it so i could make a purchase when I next get paid.
I checked it yesterday and the new tax takes it over £200.00
A 3 and 4 track release now costs more at beatport than to buy the vinyl equivilent. 1 track which shows on their site @ £1.99 is now £2.29.
I won't shop with them again, only thing I'll use their site for is listening to samples.

Haha, what a shower. They have now decreased the price of their mp3's. Basically, for the last few months they have been charging their customers double tax on all releases.
How do they get off with it.
 |

as far as i am concerned, i now only use beatport as a last resort - where, say, other BRITISH based digital stores don't have the labels and releases i'm looking for. i think the whole "beatport exclusive" and "album only" thing serves to monopolise the competition out of business...unless, of course, we continue to support the alternatives.
