Techie/math ppl vs. Englishey ppl, and trance

| So when I first started listening to techno I kept learning about it through the ppl at my school who listened to it, and for some reason, all of them tended to be these techey, math-science or computer nerd guys...is there a real-life corellation between math-science-ness vs. english-history-ness and interest in techno? I understand the corellation between it and computer nerds maybe because it makes sense that they'd discover online samples and try mixing themselves on the computer because they are on computers a lot, but what do you think? Does this type of music tend to attract a certain type of people, people who naturally tend towards math-science, rather than the humanities-tending people? (excluding visual art, which also can be connected strongly to computers and technology on computers)...tnx for any thoughts... |

| In high school I noticed a few "nerds" listened to techno and went to raves. I also noticed some of the more "popular" kids listening to techno and raving as well. I found the "nerds" listened to Moby, Checmical Brothers, Prodigy etc etc while the cooler kids were more Hard House and Trance. |

| Of course, we are all open minded here, but it is one thing to categorize blindly and quite another to simply notice facts about people...there are clear differences between some people, such as whether their academic strength happens to lie in a particular area of study... |

| I used to be into the whole computers thing and networks. So yeah, i kinda agree, the math sciences are definately where its at:p Im doing Physics, Calculus, Biology and Social right now :D |
